WikiProject Yugoslavia was formed by Wikipedians to improve and expand the coverage of Yugoslavia-related articles on Wikipedia. This page provides a list of open tasks and suggestions to that end.

Scope

Included

WikiProject Yugoslavia deals specifically with the following periods:

  1. 1835–1918: articles related to Yugoslav ideology in the period before and during World War I.
  2. 1918–1941: articles related to the period of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes).
  3. 1941–1945: articles related to World War II in Yugoslavia (Yugoslav People's Liberation War).
  4. 1945–1991: articles related to SFR Yugoslavia (post-1945, during peacetime).
  5. 1991–1995: articles related to the
    Yugoslav dissolution wars (the Ten-Day War, the Croatian War of Independence, and the Bosnian War, but not the post-1995 Kosovo and North Macedonia
    conflicts.)
  6. Post-breakup: articles related to concepts pertinent to Yugoslavia, such as Yugo-nostalgia and Yugosphere.

In a nutshell, the scope of the WikiProject includes:

  • articles concerning Yugoslav ideology and political movements before and during World War I, as well as the formation of Yugoslavia (Kingdom of Serbs Croats and Slovenes)
  • articles concerning all aspects of the history of South Slavic nations (excluding Bulgaria) and Yugoslavia itself in the period from 1918 to 1992.
  • articles related to the
    Yugoslav dissolution wars in the period from 1987 to 1995 until the Dayton Agreement
    .
