inorganic chemical compound of einsteinium and iodide with the chemical formula EsI2.[1][2]

Synthesis

The compound can be prepared via a reaction of EsI
3 and H
2.[3][4]

2 EsI3 + H2 → 2 EsI2 + 2 HI

Physical properties

The compound forms a solid.[3]
