Move to Altai language?

We already have Altai Republic and Altai Kray, so using Altai language seems somewhat logical. "Altay language" and "Altai language" seem about equally popular on google, but "Altaian language" [1] seems to be much more popular than "Altayan language" [2].

Google Schlar hits:

Altai language: 64 [3]

Altay language: 6 [4]

Altaian language: 19 [5]

Altayan language: 0 [6]

Which "dialect" is sound system?

According to Ethnologue, Northern Altai and Southern Altai are not mutually intelligible. According to this article, the sounds of Altai differ from dialect to dialect. So why is there a sound chart here without being labelled as to which Altai it refers to? This needs to be moved to either Northern Altai language or Southern Altai language. Written Altai

According to Ethnologue, written Altai is based on Southern Altai and is rejected by children of Northern Altai. Any objections to moving the writing paragraph to Southern Altai language? (Taivo (talk) 13:36, 21 March 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Again, you just totally ignored what i said, and keep talking about the "References", please respond my question instead of ignoring it and saying about the reference wich is only for Northern altai, as said in the own reference, and not for the altai languages, as i took the number of speakers of Southern and Northern altai together, and the result was that number that i put there, please don't ignore the question before replying. Thanks for trying to add a reference. Unfortunately, the page you linked at Ethologue doesn't contain information about the population of speakers of this language and can't be used to verify the claim you're adding about teh number of speakers of these languages. In addition, you again deleted the existing "e25" reference which restored the referencing error and re-added it to the Category:Pages with broken reference names tracking category. To prevent the article from regressing, I'll again need to revert your change. If you have a source for this information and are able to present it, maybe I can help you create a proper reference for it.
