General: Article is new enough and long enough

Policy compliance:

  • Adequate sourcing: Yes
  • Neutral
    : Yes
  • Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing: Yes
  • Other problems: No - as his daughter is not notable in her own right and could still be alive I don't think her name should be in the article. I could not find her name in the cited source, although I could not see beyond the first page of the article.
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Article is long enough, new enough, has 1% copyvio score and sources appear reliable. QPQ has been done, the hook is interesting, and cited in the article and supported by the source. and besides a minor quibble about unnecessarily naming a family member, is good to go. Thanks for the review and the feedback, DrThneed. I take your point about the daughter and removed the extraneous information about her. I think mentioning that somone has a daughter, as well as her given name and approximate date of birth, is appropriate for a biography, but please let me know if you feel differently. Her name and age are mentioned on the second page of the clipping: https://www.newspapers.com/clip/108709368/the-philadelphia-inquirer/. Topshelver (talk) 01:30, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Topshelver, I agree it is appropriate to mention her and it is only the inclusion of her name I have a problem with (and thanks for the link to the second page, I couldn't figure how to get it without registering). However I still think you should remove her name, it harms the article not at all to remove it, and she is not notable in her own right, and potentially still living. That's fair. I have removed the daughter's name. Please let me know of any other edits needed to turn the checkmark green! Topshelver (talk) 03:01, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Topshelver all good to go now. DrThneed (talk) 04:01, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
