Proposed further expansion
I propose expansion of this article along the lines of the topics outlined by Bianchi (2020). Potential improvements include:
- More details in the Early Development section. A century-based outline may be useful here.
- Small related-discipline sections for, e.g. soil science, chemical oceanography.
