Brizola and drug gangs in Rio de Janeiro
This sounds to me like it is completely unfounded and biased on political views. Linking him directly to the criminality in Rio is quite a stretch. I'd like to see any credible sources that indicate his security police had him telling the police to be "soft". I'd also like to see the link to the US and Colombia that was previously posted. Conclusion
I commend your efforts in improving this article, and in nominating it for GA status, but sadly, it falls short of that status. I must fail this nomination, primarily because of the outstanding copy-edit tag applied to the page. This needs to be addressed. Secondarily, there is a dearth of references. Additionally, more images are needed throughout the article. I bode you success in bolstering this article so that it may pass its next GA nomination! Assis Brasil (need of disambig)
The political leader of the opponents to Borges de Medeiros was the politician Assis Brasil, Joaquim Francisco, a genteel farmer, horse and cattle breeder who mostly exerted his leadership by means of political wrangling with the Federal government. Assis Brasil, as a diplomat, had earlier negotiated the Brazilian purchase of Acre, and for that received the honour of naming the Acre municipality of Assis Brasil, in which he probably never set foot. There are also various Brazilan prominent figures with the same family name, therefore I have removed the link to the name.Cerme (talk) 17:43, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
