References

I hope it offends no one that I deleted the reference to an offhand mention of Trilling in an episode of Grey's Anatomy; the reference is interesting, but it seems to me to add little to the article. JohnRobertMartin 20:16, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

offends me that a quote about him being the "one jew" selected by Coulmbia, found in Fadiman entry, is not included — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.38.155.134 (talk) 08:23, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Name Trilling

Is there any information available why he has chosen the name Trilling? Kind regards,--92.229.210.56 (talk) 10:10, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Matthew Arnold link

The link on Trilling's book "Matthew Arnold" (1939) in the source list needs to be changed or excised. When you click on it you are taken to the article on Matthew Arnold and not any article on Trilling's book. This is an important difference that needs to be taken into account.

μέτρον ἄριστον

The Trilling quote, Between is the only honest place to be, reminds me of Ovid--but was it Medio tutissimus ibis, or In medio tutissimus ibis? Patronanejo (talk) 05:21, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
