JarvisJones95's options could be to change to something like "JarvisJones95fan". Changing their name to a number other than their career jersey number would also be fine e.g. JarvisJones59. WP:REALNAME policy says: ...the account may sometimes be blocked as a precaution against damaging impersonation, until proof of identity is provided. If they weren't editing the bio related to their username, I would not have blocked. As a newly registered user, it also was peculiar to have their first edits be to their bio and immediately nominate it for GA, which was immediately failed. It seemed like WPs responsibility to either confirm thw user is this person, or have them otherwise change usernames. I have their talk page watched and will unblock if they request it. That said, they seemed to attempt an unblock request and then gave up. I would encourage you to approach these types of user names differently moving forward (i.e. someone with a questionable user name who is editing in good faith). A simple talk page message looking for clarity or pointing them to the rename process will not drive editors away, whereas a block without a warning will definitely be more likely to drive editors away. Just a piece of unsolicited advice.

WP:UAA/I labels the block for "good faith" cases. It had always seemed to me like a benign process since it was a soft block; the user could either create a new acct asap, request a name change, or email with details based on the comprehensive, seemingly standard explanation at {{Uw-ublock-wellknown}}. I might also have become more vigilant with famous names after having not followed up on User:JoshDonaldson20, because their edits seemed in good faith at the time, only to cross paths with their edits later and find out they were later blocked as a sock. Again, appreciate the different angle, and I will try a bit more to take an alternative approach in these cases, when feasible. Cheers.—Bagumba (talk

• "If the article's title does not lend itself to being used easily and naturally in the opening sentence, the wording should not be distorted in an effort to include it. Instead, simply describe the subject in normal English, avoiding redundancy."
• "In general, if the article's title (or a significant alternative title) is absent from the first sentence, do not apply the bold style to related text that does appear"

@Skarmory: Thanks for discussing this. In hindsight, I see that there's little consistency in the various annual NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament pages. In any event, I see these more as descriptive titles than actual formal terms or official titles, which lend themselves better to bolding. Being that there's probably little chance in getting consensus in the college basketball community on a lead sentence format that's consistent with the MOS (my past experience in other yearly sports pages), I'll back off here. @Bagumba: Thank you. Can you please specify which noticeboards should I reference now? There're two issues: 1. Talk page doesn't work. Other party ignores discussion, sources, prior requests that they asked me to do etc. So far they did not provide even a single source to confirm their point. And even when they agree that something can be kept, they still don't want to look up the sources I had spent time to look for and they still remove all entries. 2. That kind of behaviour shouldn't be tolerated on Wiki. I wish to make a submission to review these editors behaviour and in case approved, temporary or permanently get them restrained from making edits on Wiki until they get along with its rules. Yeah. I tend to agree with you. There have been moments this season like beating Villanova that showed that we were a great team building on the momentum from last year and then there were some that made people think that last year was an anomaly. If you look at the edits by User:Mandomanny313, they are primarily deletions. Usually of text that is supported by proper RS refs. Usually without any explanation. Over many pages. I think this is highly disruptive. And too much for me as a non-admin to address, though I have tried politely communicating with the editor. Help? But this isn't a matter of seeming dependence. NBASIC covers biographies. It doesn't matter what NSPORTS says - ANYBIO has to meet NBASIC or one of the other BIO SNGs that are independent of NBASIC, and BIOs that fail can't fall back on the GNG any more than ORGs can. And there isn't really much daylight between NBASIC and the GNG anyway: they both require multiple sources offering significant coverage. Looks like this was closed with all “one game” elements removed (proposal 3). I pretty strongly disagree a consensus was actually reached, and also think there is a fundamental misunderstanding of what the “one game threshold” signifies (it’s not the act of stepping in the field/court, it’s that for top leagues a total career is assumed if they make it to that level). I wanted to ask a question regarding your revert of my edit. I agree that freshman awards should be considered less notable than the first & second-team conference awards, but I'm not sure how to handle it in reference to the

I then would place any freshman-only awards at the bottom of everything, again with natl frosh awards before conf frosh. Not sure if you're aware of this, but I discovered a second account of an editor that you're quite familiar with. The editor in question is GoWarriors151718, and their second account is GoBruins0708. Obviously, when you compare the two names, they are very similar. I also went and entered the two accounts into the Editor Interaction Analyser, and it shows that they have interacted with 9 different pages. In addition, in an edit summary of a talk page message while using their main account, they wrote, "Logged into the wrong account". So, it's pretty clear that it's the same editor using different accounts. I discovered this when I received a talk page message from GoBruins0708, clearly trying to be a completely different person, but I was easily able to figure out that they are associated with GoWarriors151718.
