Hi Bejinhan. I just wanted to let you know that I had a concern about your edits (comments here) relating to granting you Rollback. You reverted a few edits by Pourquoi Cherie, who added commas to a few articles where they weren't grammatically accurate. It's nice that you left the user a personal message about their edits that you reverted, but you labeled them as "can be considered vandalism", which really isn't accurate. There's a difference between "seemingly unconstructive" and the "vandalism" label. Just as a reminder, make sure to use rollback only for edits that are obviously vandalism. Let me know if you have questions. :-) Happy editing, JamieS93 14:23, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Sure, no problem. :-) I tend to take the "when in doubt, use
Twinkle" approach. Best, JamieS93

ACC

You closed request #34270 as "too similar". However, the account that it is similar to (user:Jmio) was created on 10 January 2007 and has only one edit from that day. What you should have done, when the pink box popped up telling you "this account is too similar" and gave you the username that it was similar to was click on "contribs". There you would have found out that this account is not active and had only one edit from 2 years ago. After having found that out, you should have then "deferred to flagged users" as users with special permissions can override these spoofing checks. I have gone ahead and created the account. Best, →javért

Saw where you might be considering entering a situation where, alas, angels fear to tread (the Dook / Duke Debate). It seems to be heating up a bit amidst some talk pages, so I did just want to mention that the entire case is a bit spring loaded... DukeEGR93 04:49, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Yeah... I know. I saw the debate going on in the Talk:Dook page. Since what you guys want is someone to facilitate communication and forestall edit warring, I can help. BejinhanTalk 09:49, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
So - not sure why but all seems quiet on the Dook front. I feel as if I've pitched my case and figured I would wait from a reply from those who disagreed earlier. Not sure what that means, but still appreciate your looking at the situation nonetheless! DukeEGR93 15:13, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
I've noticed that. I wanted to 'poke' you guys and ask why. Okay, I'll ask the other party to present his case. BejinhanTalk 02:05, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Task

I've been watching your edits, stalkerish I know, and I see you been doing little bits of editing all over the place, which is good. I would like you to use your editing skills to improve some stubs to start class articles. It wont be hard and is a giant leap towards getting your own B-class article. Good luck, Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk | Sign 20:58, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Article Question

I saw that you asked about how you get an article to b-class on Gaia's page, and I think it depends on what the subject is. Like with my antibody article I had to create a type of infobox for it because there was none of it's kind. But the Antibody article doesn't have an info box and is A/B-class. I think it has mainly to do with how descriptive the article is; the more sourced facts you have the better the article is. Also pics and tables and stuff help as well. Also you can check project pages for their requirements. I hope that helped! Marx01 Tell me about it 05:31, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Alright! Thanks for the explanation. BejinhanTalk 05:35, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
That's a very good explanation. There are about 6 things you should do to get an article to B-class. A longer version of the summary below can be found here.
  1. Suitably referenced, with inline citations
  2. Reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain obvious omissions or inaccuracies
  3. Has a defined structure, with an introduction and at least 1 or 2 content sections
  4. Is reasonably well-written
  5. Contains supporting materials (Images/tables/infoboxes)
  6. Technical terms should be explained or avoided where possible
Hope this helps! Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk | Sign 10:37, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Yeah. I went ahead and blocked it for the time being. Even if he is here for good purposes, I really can't see how it would pass the latter two parts of misleading, promotional, offensive, or disruptive. Given he knows how to request through ACC, I don't think it is too high of a barrier to entry to ask him to change the name now than when he runs into another editor on an article. Best to setup a generic gmail account if you want to be active in ACC. Also - the real way to have notified them would have been to click "invalid" or "upolicy" which would prompt the system to send them a note that the account was not created. If you just do DROP then the user just waits forever without notification.    7   talk Δ |   07:10, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

No I don't believe in Festivalism... it just seemed like an interesting subject. I'm a socialist democrat. I know that the section I wrote may be controversial, but I am also going to write an opposition section once I get the time :). Good job questioning that though. Vilnius International Airport

Just wanted to let you know that Loginas made the correct edit. None of the airlines logos are free and don't qualify for fair-use outside of an article about the airline. The consensus currently is not to link destinations and frankly the overuse of flags to decorate is just page bloat and provides no extra information. This is mainly an issue I have, but the two things which I hate on Wikipedia are red links and [citation needed] templates. The red links are fine: I might "blue" a few of them since I'm not getting very far with Festivalism. I do not expect you to fix the red links, that does not impair you from reaching b-class. I'm also horrible at finding citations for articles I didn't write, but I still cannot stand [citation needed] things. Basically I love love love love your article but I hate hate hate hate the template :) Good job I'll rate it right now! I would say it's a C-class since it has issues with citations, but if you fix those it is a B! Marx01 Tell me about it 20:15, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
