Hot Wheels & Categories
Hi. Thanks for the edit to Hot Wheels, but it's not necessary to add the Toys category, because it already was part of the category Toy cars and trucks, which in turn is part of Toys. See Wikipedia:Categorization for more details. RoySmith 2 July 2005 02:06 (UTC)

Why did you remove the * sorting from the categories Religion-related lists, Geography lists, Culture lists, Art lists and Society lists? Did you see the comment describing the layout of the Lists category page at the top of that page, or on the talk page? --JeffW 16:59, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
I disagree. It makes sense to put the most common way of searching a category near the front, especially the top level categories. And it isn't unprecedented. Take a look at Category:People where it has a bunch of People by ... categories sorted before the alphabetical listings, which is basically the same thing I did in Lists.
I appreciate your initiative with the categorisation in the Disasters category. However, several of the categorisations were duplications and I had to revert them. I hope that you do not mind. Please do join us at the

Virtual Boy Wario Land
You're actually the second person to ask me this, so I'm going to put the reasoning in the article's talk page now.
I changed the article because:
- The box says Virtual Boy Wario Land
- The cartridge says Virtual Boy Wario Land
- The title screen says Virtual Boy Wario Land
- GameFAQs, MobyGames, GameSpot, and Planet Virtual Boy all refer to it as Virtual Boy Wario Land.
- Note how it never says "Wario Land for Virtual Boy". The "Virtual Boy" is part of the subtitle of the game, much like how Eternal Darkness' full title is actually Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.
- Most importantly: It's really just a rearangement of words from "Wario Land (Virtual Boy)", so what does it really matter? This way drops the parentheses and looks better.--SeizureDog 06:34, 17 June 2006 (UTC)]

Category:Open Society
Hello, I just discovered that you recently made Category:Open Society a parent category for Category:Democracy, when I'm sure you meant to do the inverse. I've already taken care of the problem, and Category:Open Society is now a sub-category of Category:Democracy. Working with categories can be very tricky, even confusing at times, so it's important to take your time and be very careful -- and then check the results to be sure that they make sense. HIB edit
You may want to check what you thought was going on in this edit, where you state that information was being removed. All that edit that you undid was re-add a reference that was removed from the previous edit. Note that that section exists in the "Response" part of the article and not wehre HIB#4 is being discussed, as it is about the abuse of the system towards the Steam sale. --MASEM (t) 04:09, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- Going by the edit you undid (see above), the only thing that my reversal of your change was restoring a citation that someone had just outright removed, nothing on the content of the article (certainly nothing about soundtracks). I've double-checked and I'm not seeing where the soundtrack information is being removed (I don't think I would remove that anyway, since it would have been source-able). You may want to double check to to find out what you think went missing. --MASEM (t) 13:39, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Removing cast sections in film articles has to stop
Removing casting news doesn't justify removing source material. You may not agree how it looks, but it is encyclopedic and any reader has a right to know who and when that certain cast member joined the movie. So stop removing cast sections and source material about it. BattleshipMan (talk) 15:27, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate listing of information, The listing of when a cast member joined a particular project, while useful some of the time, is more often than not indiscriminate. Look at Toy Story for instance, it's a "good" article and yet you'll find no mention of when Rex's or Ham's voice actor joined: It's not that information isn't out there it's just that it doesn't amount to a whole lot. Production sections should tell the story of how a film comes together, therefor each time a casting descision is listed it should easily lead to the next. The sections you've restored don't do that. --Deathawk (talk) 16:07, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
- Casting information are considered encyclopedic, whatever you agree with it or not. Your actions removing them and the source material that has them doesn't justify anything you think of and you don't have a better reason for doing that, which is considered disruptive and removing legitimate source content. I'm gonna tell you something right now. You're gonna stop removing source material that have casting information and you're gonna behave yourself. Because if you keep on doing that, you could very well face disciplinary action and could be blocked from editing for a time being. And if you think you reason your way out of this, try me. BattleshipMan (talk) 16:28, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
- Ok, I don't appreciate you threatening me, we're both here for the same purpose and some Wikiettiquette would be appreciated. Anyway I already made a note asking for consensus on The Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Film about this so that we can, as a project whole, try to come to a consensus. --Deathawk (talk) 16:41, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
- Whatever. I'm just don't like when editors removing legitimate sourced material, among other things that other editors and I don't agree with. Anyway, I voiced my reasons in the Project Film page. BattleshipMan (talk) 16:58, 17 December 2015 (UTC)

The page is just blank right now. If someone made the mistake several years ago when Zendaya was still a minor, to add copy'd and pasted information, that still shouldn't obscure the knowledge that one can get from that page. It's been blank for almost a month now. This is ridiculous. Just rewrite it and move on.

Sing Street
Hi. Well if we take the 1st sentence you added:
- The film is loosley based on Carney's own life in highschool, although he noted "The second Ferdia got the part, the film changed quite significantly" noting that Connor's family acts largely different from his own also stating "the biggest departure is that Conor is an incredibly handsome kid who can do no wrong, and is so full of confidence. I wasn’t like that at all. I had an inner belief in myself, but I didn’t walk around with that swagger. I didn’t look that way"
- 'loosely' is spelled incorrectly
- he didn't go to highschool. He lived in Ireland and therefore went to secondary school
- there is no obvious relationship between the first clause about where Carney went to school, and the second about the movie changing when they cast the role of Cosmo, yet you have linked them with 'although'
- there is a distinct lack of punctuation including at least 2 missing commas
- there are 4 clauses in a single sentence, including 2 direct quotes. That's at least 2 clauses and 1 direct quote too many.
And that's just the first sentence. The rest is very similar.
If you want to make changes, make small incremental changes. Add a single new sentence. Expand an existing sentence. Add a single para to enhance the existing prose. I really don't believe the existing prose for that section is too bad. Can it be improved? Undoubtedly. Were your changes an improvement? No. Sorry. CalzGuy (talk) 13:11, 28 September 2016 (UTC)

Hi, my name is GUtt01, and I like to inform you that your recent edits, while a good contribution to the article in question and provided some good citations, had several errors and editing mistakes that had to be corrected. In addition, some information you removed has been restored because there was not a valid reason for its removal; there is no reason to remove information about who is recruited to the cast, particularly as this information also included who was assigned roles within the film's production crew (such as producers). If you like to make further edits to an article, try using the sandbox to ensure it will come out alright.

Hi Deathawk, were you ever able to get anywhere with kaola15 on his/her unsubstantiated reversions? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gnatdroid (talk • contribs) 21:08, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Gnatdroid: I suspect your asking because you have a dispute with the user, in which case the best way to deal with it is to discuss the issue with koala on their talk page, barring that there are various Dispute resolutions available. Forgive me, for somewhat evading the question, however I do not want to get into unnecessary wikigossip or wikidrama. --Deathawk (talk) 03:44, 20 November 2017 (UTC)

It’s also something not worded in a way that outright prohibits it. You removed a huge bulk of the sourced material from the article which is why I reverted you, and ask you undo the revert you did to me. When you think about it everything included in a film article is an announcement. They’re announcing casting, they’re announcing what went into the production. A key thing needed in most film articles are sources confirming things like casting cause otherwise it’s unsourced. Ultimately like I said the wording at MOS does not outright block that style of editing. So I’d appreciate the production section being restored. Rusted AutoParts 22:42, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
