Welcome

Hello, great to have your aboard. I hope you will not let the aggressive comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Barron Trump (2nd nomination) deter you from editing, people are a little emotional in the wake of last week's election. Indeed, I hope you will stick around, we need more good editors on every topic. Cheers! E.M.Gregory (talk)

@Hello E.M.Gregory (talk) thanks for voicing your opinion. But I can not understand when I comment aggressively in my view I was always polite in every discussion. I wish you will help me by replying. Ominictionary (talk) 16:18, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Ominictionary: Oh, dear. I didn't mean it that way at all. I'm so terribly sorry that I was unclear. That AFD discussion has a number of editors who have let their emotional respons over last week's election lead them to being unusually rude, aggressive and dismissive of other editors opinions. It also has an unusually large number of editors who are new to Wikipedia or new to AFD discussions, I took or possibly mistook) you for a new or newish editor when I wrote to a handful of new editors on that page because I like ot make new editors welcome at Wikipedia, and I was afraid that the tone of that discussion might discourage newer editors from continuing to edit.E.M.Gregory (talk) 16:30, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sanjeeda Sheikh, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ek Hasina Thi. Sheikh Mujib article

Hi, Sheikh Mujib has two further titles: "Jatir Jonok" and "Jatir Pita." Will you be able to put those in? Thanks. Ficusindica (talk) 14:55, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ficusindica, I appretiate your effort toward the article. Yes, I can add that title but I think it could affect on article's neutrality. Because most of the time this title have been used Awami league politian. Like only awami league politian address Mrs Mujib as Bangamata. As far as I know, In Bangladesh, Bengali and English newspaper often called her only Bangabandhu. What do you think??? Ominictionary (talk) 15:11, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I've never heard of bangamata actually. But I don't think Jatir Pita and Jatir Jonok are biased. They are used a lot of times. I think that just because they are used, they should be noted, otherwise the article will be less informative. We could say " He is popularly known as Bangabandhu" and is sometimes also referred to as "Jatir Jonok" or "Jatir Pita." Ficusindica (talk) 19:34, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Okay Ficusindica, as you are so confident then I will add.Ominictionary (talk) 19:48, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Do you think we need more opinion on this inclusion? Also, you don't think we should use both of the titles ie. "Pita" and "Janak," but used equally often. Thanks. Ficusindica (talk) 20:30, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
hello, Ficusindica as both of the word mean the same thing so I don't think its necessary to use both. One is enough. Both word with same meaning look quite awkward in a sentence. Ominictionary (talk) 20:34, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
We can try as best as we can to make it clear that both mean the same thing, but we'll be doing injustice to informativeness an the other word if we don't note it. Ficusindica (talk) 20:35, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, if you wish yo do it on the lead section with the information that both are same. But don't add it on the honourific title. It was looking quite awkward and as I have nominate the article for good article, so, the article should look need and clean. So, plz be carefil. Bests Ominictionary (talk) 20:39, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Ficusindica, I added the word Jatir Pita on lead section. I hope now its okay. Ominictionary (talk) 20:45, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It's better. I actually think bias works on the notions that a favorite article is ready for good article or not. I think the best judgment of it should be whether it is actually informative from an unbiased perspective. That being said, in an English article, in the honorific titles section, the titles matter little if we don't add the English translation. What do you think? Thanks. Ficusindica (talk) 20:46, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I agree about tranlation. But plz let Jatir Pita go now. Adding Jatir pita was quite unclear if as a native I don't understand. What would foreign people do. Ominictionary (talk) 20:57, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a proponent of informativeness, so I try to put in as much information as possible. What do you say to "Thus, he is regarded Jatir Janak or Jatir Pita (Jatir Jônok or Jatir Jônok, both meaning Father of the Nation) of Bangladesh."? Ficusindica (talk) 21:06, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Ficusindica, your pronouciation is wrong. But idea is okay. But not in honourific title plz. It's okay in lead section. Ominictionary (talk) 21:11, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In the honorific titles section, initially, I thought of having one line for each honorific title. So it will be:
Bangabandhu (বঙ্গবন্ধু "Friend of Bengal")
Jatir Janak/Pita (জাতির জনক/পিতা "Father of the Nation")
Why do you think it's unclear, other than the fact that the second line is a bit too long?
Thanks. Ficusindica (talk) 21:16, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you remove "Jatir Pita"? Ficusindica (talk) 20:49, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Ficusindica, I had mentioned the reason in edit summary, the pronounciation was not correct. Ominictionary (talk)

What do you think the correct pronunciation will be? I think the romanization scheme we use for phonetic transcription in Wikipedia is a system used in Wikipedia only, termed "Wiki" [1]. Someone had since removed it from the article through. Ficusindica (talk) 14:23, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@I don't know Ficusindica how to write pronouciation either if I knew I must correct it till now. But I am quite sure that was not the correct process, you have written it how we type messege you can check in history the previous version, I think an expert in needed here. Ominictionary (talk) 15:44, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Let's used the Wikipedia Phonetic Romanization scheme [2]. Using this system, we just write how we pounce, "Jatir Pita" is just "Jatir Pita." Ficusindica (talk) 16:08, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@No, this is not the way not the way to write pronounciation. We have to use IPA or International Phonetic Alphabet and plz I am tired discussing same thing. Plz, discuss it on article's talk page. Maybe you can get some solution there. But I am sure that this is not the correct form. Ominictionary (talk) 16:47, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

We never use IPA. Take a look at the phonetic transcription that is given for Sheikh Mujuibur Rahman or take a look at the articles on Bangladesh, Prime Minister or the Jatiya Sangsad. Or else, I'll just put it there until someone fixes and not deletes it. It has always been advised to include information and not tangled with technicalities, which is for other people to fix. Ficusindica (talk) 18:11, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@ Ficusindica I have checked that and I am still saying that this is not the right way. Despite knowing about this, putting this information could be wrong and I am sure that even you can't say that you know how to write it properly and if you still do this then I have to remove it and issue a discussion on talk page of the article. As a wikipedian it is our duty to give correct and verified information not to do what we think as correct but as a well-wisher, I would suggest you issuing a talk page discussion on the article's page.
