Chabad House
The center, located at 5 Hormusji Street[1], is run by Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and caters mainly to Israelis who are on their way to "party hotspots" such as Goa and Rajasthan.[2] The three flights a week bring hundreds of them from Israel to Mumbai and in an interview Holtzberg said he understood the nature of their needs. The young Rabbi, who grew up in Brooklyn said that they "need relief" from the army, from work, from real life.[2] He said, “they come here to do everything the army didn’t allow them to do. Their shoes had to be polished and tied – here they wear sandals. They had to cut their hair – here they grow their hair long.”[2]

It was reported gun men opened fired indiscriminately towards the crowd [3] and 4-5 casualties among hostages taken by the gun men.
Late Thursday evening, State officials in India confirmed to the Associated Press that eight hostages were released from the Chabad House.[11] According to several reports there was some sort of military operation at the scene, and that it looked like they were waiting for an opportunity to storm the building. At that time, it was still unclear how many additional hostages were still being held and whether Holtzberg and his wife were among those released.[11] Evidently, while 8 have been released, earlier reports said that 4 remain "unconscious" inside.[12][9]
Later, conflicting reports surfaced, by Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor saying that the 8 people seen near Chabad House were not hostages, and that they were local Indians from a home in the same compound, and not Jewish or Israeli hostages
Shortly before dawn on Friday[14], Indian security forces began an attack on the Chabad House and that an unknown number of people were being held hostage. TV footage showed troops abseiling from a helicopter into the building, and soldiers on the ground closing in.[15]

Hi. You created a link at the Mumbai Chabad House to to Gavriel Holtzberg. Right now the link redirects back to the Chabad house article. I suspect that you plan on making a separate article on Gavriel. I don't that's a good idea. See
