Training the Trainers
Hi Staceydolxx, we're looking to finalise numbers and I just wanted to confirm that you're still interested in attending the event on 23-24th February? Thanks, Richard Nevell (WMUK) (talk) 20:11, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- Absolutely, though as previously mentioned, I'm not a huge Wikipedia editor so I am happy for others who have more knowledge to be given priority. Thanks very much, Staceydolxx (talk) 20:18, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. As 18 people have registered their interest and there's only space for 12 we're in the process of chasing up who can come and who will need accommodation (arranged by Wikimedia UK). Would you need accommodation? Richard Nevell (WMUK) (talk) 12:08, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
- As Wormy says, we don't need accommodation, Thanks Staceydolxx (talk) 16:43, 11 February 2013 (UTC)

DYK review of Health and Morals of Apprentices Act 1802
Hey, Staceydolxx! I'm reviewing your article's DYK submission, and I think it's a great article with an excellent hook, and it's really close to being ready. I've just found a few copyediting issues (run-on sentences, missing punctuation, and the like) that should be ironed out. WormTT and I have both done copyediting sweeps on it, fixing the problems we've found, so if you can just take a quick look at it and fix anything you see (and say that you've done so on the nomination page), I think we'll be good to go. Thanks! Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 13:24, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, I'm satisfied, and I've approved the DYK. Thanks! :) Writ Keeper ⚇♔ 15:34, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tim Jordan (sociologist), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hacking (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi, Stacey. The first thing I'm going to do with the article is fix what's there, such as convert bare references to the proper citation format, and fix mechanics and then we'll expand. How does that sound? Happy editing. 18:28, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
adoption in the United Kingdom - controversial article
Hi Stacey. Given your recent DYK, I wondered if you were aware of the rather controversial article

- I have one of my Social Worker Law books out.. It doesn't really match the article at all. Bugger. I will have a go at it. It will be nice to have other people who read and care about the articles I write. For the first time the other day, the Children Act 1989 article was vandalised.. I was surprised at how long it survived without any vandalism! Thanks (I think) for letting me know about this problematic article! ツStacey (talk) 19:58, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- Bigger issue.. there is no Adoption in the United Kingdom article.. I think maybe that should be written and then a section on "Forced Adoption" (a term that I haven't really come across).. ツStacey (talk) 20:03, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- Arrrghhhhh! Adoption Act 2002 does exist.. AHhhhhhHHhhHhhhhh.. What have you started.. (P.S. If I write lots on my talk about about how much there is to do.. does this go any way to contributing to an article? Maybe not.. But arrghhhh where do I start?!) ツStacey (talk) 21:24, 27 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi Stacey, I've been looking at your New Brighton Tower article, and I reckon it's suitable to be nominated as a Good article. Any objections to me proposing it for this? Cheers, Bazonka (talk) 11:16, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
- Really? You have made my day, thanks very much for even suggesting its good enough! Of course I don't have a problem with you nominating it. Thanks! ツStacey (talk) 04:33, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
- Right, it's nominated. It could take a while (2 or 3 months possibly) before it's assessed. Let's see what happens... Bazonka (talk) 08:49, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

Humperdinck
I will not try to stop you doing something very strange, but please find a different edit summary, "fixing" sounds like it was broken, it was not. I have a lot of these articles on my watch list, it hurts, every time. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:06, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
- I'm sorry if I have upset you - Its not intended! If anything I was trying to help the issue.. If you would like to 'alter' the links so that they go to the correct Engelbert Humperdinck please do. I'm concerned you are coming to my talk page and complaining rather than helping to correct an issue you identified? ツStacey (talk) 11:10, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
- Gerda, the links are "broken". They're linking to the wrong page, since the rename. Stacey, thank you for putting the time in to fix these links. WormTT(talk) 11:20, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
- Stacey, I am sorry that you feel hurt, that was not intended, - I just hoped you would find a gentler wording for what you think you have to do. - The rename was not a "consensus" (as I understand it, and I was not first one to say so, see the talk), came rather soon and suddenly (overnight for me, other move discussions I remember were open much longer) and should have been prepared by changing those links BEFORE a move. - I know how boring the task is, do it a lot myself (Halle, Gächinger Kantorei, Folkwang - first Academy, then University), - but to help with something I feel is wrong is asking a bit too much. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:37, 12 December 2014 (UTC)

Last year, on the day of BB's centenary, I started an article of that name here. I came to think it would be a good DYK on Christmas Day. Others thought that it had to moved from the published title to Wikipedia house style. With whom do you agree? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:00, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
