Additional tips
Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
- You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.
- You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
- If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for undeletionpage if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
- If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
- If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.

1992 Bathurst 1000
As Gibson Motor Sport ran the torque split in the GT-R almost completely to the rear wheel drive, it most certainly was not the All Wheel Drive that made the GT-R dominant. All wheel drive helped considerably in the wet, although as the car crashed in monsoon wet coditions at that Bathurst it prooved that it only helped to a limited extent, but in the dry it actually hampered and Richards in particular disliked it. They had a good car, with great horsepower, really good budget and a superb team. By way of counter-example, it was only Australia where the Skyline GT-R was so dominant even though they raced in Japan and in Group N specification in Europe. To a large extent they were victimised by their car being 'different'. --Falcadore (talk) 00:27, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi Waerloeg: Thanks for your info re: the plane wingtips at Flight feather. Do you perhaps have a reference for that, so it can be properly footnoted? Thanks! MeegsC | Talk 07:34, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hi again. I'm afraid that since you've copied that information directly from here, I've had to remove it as it's a WP:COPYVIO. Feel free to add the information again in your own words. MeegsC | Talk 20:51, 15 April 2008 (UTC)]

- Strangely high correlation? And that's only a tiny sample. The rest is the same too. Has Wikipedia copied every thing on the page from them, including what you wrote? No, that whole page has ripped off Wikipedia, the only differences in it are because it's an older copy. What I wrote was an original sentence in MY OWN WORDS.

]Hello Waerloeg. I see you just added a List of Gladiators types to this article. A couple of observations.
You have not sourced the content you added. The article is otherwise thoroughly sourced and its content is cited (inline) to modern, reliable secondary scholarship. Any additions should be sourced likewise, according to the best principles of wikipedia editing. Otherwise, they can be removed.
We already have an article, List of Roman gladiator types: it's fairly detailed and is linked to the Gladiator article but is in need of attention, being only partially cited to reliable scholarship. Some of the "types" are dubious. Regards, Haploidavey (talk) 13:25, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Life of Brian (Family Guy). Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
Thank you. -- DonIago (talk) 12:55, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
- While I take it you were trying to be nice and avoid me losing the great fun that is editing pages, you're premature as one revert I made a week ago when I last logged on does not constitute an edit war. Waerloeg (talk) 04:39, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
- You had made the same change in July. It doesn't have to strictly be recent activity to be edit-warring. In any case, my advisory should be considered as an encouragement to discuss the matter at the article's Talk page rather than trying to implement your change again. Cheers. If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". - Don't know why user Chetsford is adding this to my page. Is it standard policy to tell the page creator of a speedy deletion? I made the article 3 years before the above comment was made and haven't done anything to the page except for two tiny grammar edits. My original article had nothing to do with the information on the website linked to which so far as I know didn't even exist at the time I made the page. Has Chetsford considered that it was not a wikipedia editor who copied the linked website but that the linked website copied wikipedia? Like how MeegsC accused me of copyright violation when it was the non-wikipedia website that plagiarised me. Waerloeg (talk) 01:10, 16 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi! Back in 2016 you made this edit to Tea in the United Kingdom in what is now § Milk and tea, adding "one study noted ... The study concluded that lipids in milk prevent water evaporating so rapidly thus retaining heat longer." It is unreferenced. Is there any chance you can find your original source? -- ToE 21:51, 18 March 2021 (UTC)

- It's a poor image and should be deleted which is why I uploaded a svg version recently. On visiting the image page and the list for speedy nominations page I could not find any notification about this image which is a good thing as I don't believe the file is missing, corrupt or empty image description page. Category F1 should probably allow some different formats. Wikipedia's software would not allow me to overwrite the png with the svg. Waerloeg (talk) 04:31, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
