September 2014
Hi there. I've seen your edits around the project, and a few things:
- You definitely can't make an article like List of video game ROM repositories.
- First off, its a legal issue. You can't just make a list of websites where you can download illegal games. Not okay for Wikipedia.
- Secondly, you're not going to want to create lists that consist largely of subjects that do not have their own articles. Its probably going to fail WP:LISTNif you do.
- Thirdly, its never a good idea to, in general, create an article with no referenced. That's the fast track to get your article deleted, and I've seen yo do it more than once, beyond this article.
- Second topic edits like this are not appropriate either. You may warn editors stop vandalizingarticles on their user talk pages, but you should not be labeling them as vandals on their User page. You really shouldn't ever edit other people's User page, unless you're cleaning up vandalism from it. So please, no more comments like that, even if they are a vandal.
- Third topic: This one is more advice - I'd recommmend not making any more "List of exclusive system x games" type articles. They're not necessary, when you can so easily just create an "exclusive" column at the prexisting list. See the List of Wii U software article as an example. If you want to see all the games that are Wii U exclusive, then just click on the "exclusive" heading, and it'll sort the titles automatically. It'd be better to clean up or create these columns than make new, very incomplete articles, like you've been doing. It looks like a bunch have been nominated for deletion as it is, so I know its not just me here either. Sergecross73 msg me 16:47, 12 September 2014 (UTC)]

Listing non PC games on our List of PC games
Please point me to the discussion where consensus was reached to include Nintendo games on
]- The talk pages are scattered, but I think the only place it was ever actually mentioned was in "edit reasons" (in many deletes and undoings over the years) and in the main talk page itself. I see that nobody actually replied to my discussion until a few minutes before you made the first edit relating to it. Maybe it would be a good idea to re-start the discussion on the main talk page. Your reasons are that they weren't originally released on the PC, which I understand. My reasons are, the list is much more complete if games *playable* on PC are included, even if that means emulation. After all, Xbox One lists are beginning to include some of their "backwards compatible" titles as well, which are quite literally emulated Xbox 360 games. My argument is the same for the PC list: games that are directly playable on the PC's hardware should be included, which may actually mean excluding OnLive and other cloud services. Wikinium (talk) 19:41, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
- Which Xbox One list are you referring to? ]
- If that is the case, would it make sense to make a separate page that lists console games that are playable on the PC via emulation? It would be more appropriate than inserting them into the PC games list. Wikinium (talk) 23:41, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
- I recommend you put that question to the ]
- I'm aware that Nintendo probably isn't too keen on the idea of emulation, but I would hope that Wikipedia would side with the openness and freedom of information rather than siding with a corporation's best interests. There's a lot of information on Wikipedia that corporations and individuals don't like being available to the public, and Wikipedia seemed alright with that. Fingers crossed. I'm thinking List of PC games playable via emulation would be a good name. Wikinium (talk) 07:38, 22 November 2015 (UTC)

- Which Xbox One list are you referring to? ]
- Allow me to chime in here. Yes, one can play, say, Super Mario World on PC using an emulator, but one could also play it on PSP or Android to use but a couple of examples. Legally isn't even the issue there, and even "Nintendo considers it piracy" is irrelevant (Nintendo wouldn't acknowledge Super 3D Noah's Ark as a SNES games despite it being one, for instance). And why single out Nintendo games? What about almost other console from the Gamecube and earlier (on top of the Wii)....on TOP of which arcade games are playable on PC through emulation as well. An overwhelming percentage of these games are "playable on PC" but such a notion is really a pointless consideration. They weren't /released/ on PC, which is what matters. Honestly it really boggles me to see anyone could even fathom such a notion that "emulateable on PC should be on a list of PC games" without being a troll. ♫ Melodia Chaconne ♫ (talk) 14:16, 22 November 2015 (UTC)
- I should mention that it never singled out Nintendo games, nor implied they were released for PC. Ever since the article was started, it has always said "playable on the PC" rather than "released on the PC". Games originally released for DOS and other older operating systems also require emulation via DOSBox, so there was always an exception for emulated games on this list. Replaceable fair use File:AMD Zen premeir slide.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:AMD Zen premeir slide.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing
<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ViperSnake151 Talk 18:58, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Why did you add "Since the illness is caused by a virus, there is no direct cure."[2]
HIV is a virus and has a direct treatment? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 23:08, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
- I meant to explain that it's not something that can be "cured" and just purged from someone's body. It may need better wording. Wikinium (talk) 00:27, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
