Irwin Allan Sealy (born 1951) is an Indian writer. His novel The Everest Hotel: A Calendar was shortlisted for the 1998
Booker prize.[1]
Biography
Allan was born in
La Martiniere School in Lucknow and then on to St. Stephen's College, Delhi University.[2] He has worked in Canada, the USA, New Zealand and Australia.[citation needed
]
His first novel The Trotter Nama was published in 1988 and tells the story of seven generations of an Anglo-Indian family.[3]
He now lives in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.[citation needed]
