South American Coati

I created this page because Nasua nasua was redirecting to "Coatimundi", which is a general article about all coatis of the genus Nasua. This article is specific to the species N. nasua, and is titled based on "Mammal Species of the World". Rlendog (talk) 21:03, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rlendog - thanks. How big are they? Autochthony asks, 1950z: 16 May 2010. 81.156.52.159 (talk) 19:50, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The "Brazilian Aardvark" problem

Just removed the invented name "Brazilian Aardvark". It was a name created by a single person and has spread via circular reporting. It needs to be removed everytime it appears in the article. See the following for more info.

Since its invented name has appeared in reputable sources, though, even though it's fraudulent, isn't the *hoax* surrounding the name, notable? --Special:Contributions/TheSands-12 01:40, 26 November 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheSands-12 (talkcontribs) [reply]

Having something about this in the article itself could help break the feedback loop more than simply removing it DogsRNice (talk) 20:25, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
