Player always referred to as male
Hi, this is a brilliant article. I wondered if I could make a comment - take it or leave it. I understand that the player is essentially playing as Luke but when the article refers to the 'player' it is always 'he' and 'his'. Reading it as a woman it very much stands out. Like I say - it's just to flag it up and you may want to leave it that way. Thanks Midwich Cuckoo (talk) 10:59, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
Yoke input
The article states the following.
- The controls consist of a yoke control (similar to a steering wheel) with several buttons, all which fired the fighter's laser.
Isn't the input more like a positional gun than a steering wheel? It's been so long since I've played one of these that I'm not sure. - ApolloCreed 02:36, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
- Not really. Physically, the controller is like the one on Road Blasters, and it doesn't point in the way the gun did on, say, Operation Wolf. — ts4z 02:56, 11 January 2007 (UTC)]
- Either way, I think this article should have a picture of said control. Kouban (talk) 18:23, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Two things I recall about the yoke are that it originated from the Army Battlezone machine, and that although all the fire buttons had the same function, they were nonetheless read out separately (and could in theory have been programmed to do different things). Frustratingly the only sources I can find are forlorn owners of the cabinet trying to source replacements! -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 19:11, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
Updated Version
On 2006/10/6 I played an arcade game at InPlay in Peoria, IL, that was an updated version of this classic arcade game. The initial levels were the same as described here (how I remember them from childhood), only with modern color graphics (i.e. textures instead of merely lines). The arcade game had also been expanded to incorporate duels with Bobba Fett and Vader, as well as flying through fields of Hoth and riding a speeder through the forests of Endor. It also had sections that were FPS-style, going though hallways killing storm troopers. Anyway, this might be old news, but it was a lot of fun. Sclaughl 18:53, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- Was it this? — Frecklefoot | Talk 19:30, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- Frecklefoot -- yes, that appears to be it! Sclaughl 17:53, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

]Simulator?
This is a lot closer to a Rail Shooter (a sub-genre of the shoot 'em up genre) than a simulator. Anyone object to re-categorizing? - superβεεcat 07:59, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- I don't object, but I don't see a good definition of "rail shooter" anywhere on the 'pedia. Shoot 'em up has descriptions of several sub-genres, but there is no description of a rail shooter there (and, yes, I know what a rail shooter is). — Frεcklεfσσt | Talk 12:18, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
Roll and yaw?
It's been a while since I played, but I'm pretty sure the game only controlled pitch and roll; no throttle, no rudder. 69.1.23.134 (talk) 14:11, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Correct - there is no yaw. It should probably read "combined roll and sideways movement". CiaranG (talk) 15:08, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
Removed external link
The external link I removed was pretty sketchy. It was a very light "review", the main purpose of which seemed to be to drive traffic to the casino website randomly linked to near the end. --David G (talk) 06:22, 23 April 2016 (UTC)
