The company was founded in 2010 in Warsaw. In 2016, a new office was opened in Częstochowa, and in the following years, sales offices were established in the USA (in 2020) and England (in 2021)[1].

History

Founding years

The founders of mDevelopers are Agnieszka Miszewska and Miłosz Miszewski (students of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw).

Originally the company was called Mobile Management, the name was changed to mDevelopers in 2020. The company's activity began in 2010 with cooperation with the MDM FAMOC software producer (a company specializing in securing mobile devices).

In 2012, work on the first website designs for Polish clients and web applications began in the Warsaw office, focusing on the programming language Microsoft .NET, PHP. The largest clients at that time included the cosmetics company Bielenda[2], the Senate Office, Social Insurance Institution, and General Electric[3].

The next stage of development was the first individual GMO register created for the Polish Ministry of the Environment.

mDevelopers has also developed its services in the field of mobile device management. The company also expanded its services to co-create projects related to artificial intelligence[4], process automation[5] and mobile applications[6].

In 2019, the company entered the Software Development Association (SoDA).

Since exposing the brand to foreign markets, mDevelopers have gained experience in many industries, such as

MedTech, FinTech, Automotive, or E-commerce[7]. Cooperation with a large variety of industries has resulted in partnerships with the institution of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland[8] and companies such as Cushman & Wakefield[9], BMW, UJJI[10], Clear Choice[11], The Point[12], Skriware[13] and Flickit[14]

International expansion

In 2014, the mdevelopers.co.uk brand was developed, which resulted in cooperation in the creation of IT systems based on the Filemaker (now Claris) application.

Since 2016, mDevelopers has been selling its solutions and services to such markets as the USA, Australia, Singapore, Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Greece.

In 2020, a sales branch was established in Chicago, which resulted in faster development of the company on the North American market.

In 2021, a branch of the company was established in Great Britain, which strengthened the company's position in the international arena.

Technologies

The main assumptions of the company are to help and co-create projects for both large and smaller businesses in the area of mobile and web application development services, UX and UI[31], developing tools using artificial intelligence, machine learning[32], automation of non-standard business processes, outsourcing projects, implementing the Kanban method[33] in processes and the use of technologies such as Agile[34], Switch-Fast[35], Lean Development[36], and IoT[37].

In 2021, mDevelopers in cooperation with UJJI created a mobile application for

self-improvement[38]. which used the gamification mechanism and elements of artificial intelligence. In order to create this application, it was decided to use a combination of the Unity engine with the React Native
language, which is very rarely used due to the difficulty of implementation.

Publications

Since April 2021, mDevelopers has been publishing articles on technology and business[39][40] on its website[41]. The articles are a collection of advice[42] and instructions[43] on programming issues and projects[44].
