Eurythmics discography - Restoration of my version

Please restore my version of Eurythmics discography! It was so detailed and solid. I've put so much effort into composing it! If you want, you can replace the flag icons with abbreviations, e.g. United States -> U.S. 1000MHz (talk) 10:21, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted it previously - if you want to restore it, I have no problem with that (as long as it is sourced, etc.) but please do not put the flags back in... replace with the proper chart wikilinks. Thanks! - eo (talk) 10:39, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AMANDA LEAR

Hello, thanks for improving Amanda Lear discography :-) According to me, Back in Your Arms is not a compilation - all songs were re-recorded, they contain new vocals, and only 3 or 4 previously known tracks were added. Amanda herself claims Brief Encounters is her 15th album. Yes, in fact it is, but only with Back in Your Arms. Please give me some feedback what do you think about it. 1000MHz (talk) 09:35, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok,I think that the album is a compilation because it contains songs previous recorded for others olds albums, with two remix and one unreleased song. According with Lear Brief Encounters is her 15th album (you got the cit?) but she also released the 1985 EP "A L" and the reissue version of Heart, "Tendance" with two new songs. However, can you see the Brief Encounters page and correct all my grammar errors? P.S. Why you have delete the Canadian album chart? Kekkomereq4 (talk) 21:24, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted it, because there was no info about peak positions in Canada in that cited web. I'll check Brief Encounters soon. 1000MHz (talk) 04:50, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mae West filmography

Hi. When lists of works are so small, comparatively, at least, there's no need for a

WP:SPINOUT. I've merged the table back into the main article and redirected the spinout there. I've also updated the table format to what we're doing, these days. Jack Merridew 18:16, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply

Eurythmics discography - August 2010 changes

Release dates and labels info is included in respective albums pages. This page mainly presents chart positions. I think mine is the best version of Eurythmics discography article so far. If you don't want b-sides section be included here, delete it, but please leave the rest unchanged. I am Eurythmics fan and it took me a long time to write this article, gather the info etc. Please respect it. Thank you. 1000MHz (talk) 11:40, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please just stop reverting this to your version without discussing first. Whether youre a Eurythmics fan really doesn't factor into how this page should be formatted. Take a look at
WP:DISCOG and other discographies — particularly those that have been promoted to featured lists. That is the layout on which we need to be basing this page. - eo (talk) 11:46, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply
]
P.S. and your efforts are appreciated (didn't mean to sound harsh... Im a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE eurythmics fan too, if that means anything). We just gotta adhere to style guidelines, especially if we ever want this article promoted as one of "Wikipedia's best". - eo (talk) 11:53, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

reasons for my changes: the tables were poorly formatted, chartstats was used for a uk source replacing the official occ one, release dates, labels and formats for the albums are a must, full of overlinking, having "align=center" on every single line adds coding to the page and is utterly pointless, b-sides belong on the singles individual pages, thats just a few things. the way it is now is the way that FL discogs are. Mister sparky (talk) 13:38, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I Need Love (Sandra song)

Hi 1000MHz! I see you restored again the article "I Need Love (Sandra song)". However, I reverted your change, as the song continues to fail all

good article? Unless this, I think it's better to keep the redirect to the parent album, in order to avoid a very short page with almost no content. Regards, --Europe22 (talk) 09:48, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply

You realize that overwriting the existing entry with the Samantha Fox article instead of turning it into a disambiguation page now causes incorrect results for existing links intended for the older Italian and German songs of the same name? --MikeZ (talk) 20:17, 30 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, 1000MHz, and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia!

I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you worked on, Andi Fraggs, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

It helps to explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the Help Desk. Thanks again for contributing!  Chzz  ►  00:07, 3 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Grace Jones, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Dub (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi. First, well done for breaking a marked pattern in La Vie en rose by not just adding unsourced fancruft and instead making some properly-sourced changes.

I see you've restored the Grace Jones and Donna Summer cover accounts to the article. I still feel that these are strongly unbalanced coverage - why do we give these two cover artists this much space in this Piaf article, when the dozens of other cover artists listed get just their names? Why don't we move the coverage either to new articles or to the GJ and DS articles themselves; or (most simply) we just shorten the coverage to a brief paragraph, and provided similar coverage to those other artists we can find details on. It just feels really strange having big bright illustrated infoboxes all the way down an article (maybe there's a mention in the MOS somewhere about this). I'm afraid it does seem inappropriate and while I appreciate your admiration for the artists, it does need attention. Chiswick Chap (talk) 11:20, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What did you think about the deletion notice you received?

Hi 1000MHz,

In December you received a message about either "Nomination for deletion" or "Proposed deletion" of an article you created. I'd like to ask you a few quick questions:

  1. Was the message helpful? Were the instructions clear and easy to follow?
  2. If not, how do you think the message could be improved?
  3. What do you think about the deletion process in general? Do you understand how to contest a deletion?

You can feel free to answer on my talk page or send me your response by email (mpinchuk@wikimedia.org). (I won't quote you or link your answers to your username if you don't feel comfortable with that.) Your feedback is incredibly useful for improving the content of deletion notifications, so please take a minute to think about and answer these questions. Thank you! Borders

It doesn't look like "Borders" charted in France, otherwise it definitely would have appeared at the lescharts.com page. Maybe whoever did that was mistaken/deliberately inserted a false chart position. Ss112 04:03, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, it completely skipped my mind that you were asking me because I added it! It was week 48 of 2015 when "Borders" charted in France, and it looks like the corresponding week on lescharts.com is missing a significant amount of data—missing 107–109, 188–199, and many more before that. Also, every song on lescharts.com for that week is marked "RE" for re-entry, for some reason. Looks like a stuff-up on Hung Medien's part. Ss112 04:14, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If one looks in the "right" places, there's usually some pretty glaring errors on Hung Medien and the original sites which publish the data. For some reason, lescharts.com marks "week 48" as 31 December, even though it clearly would not have been. Ss112 04:16, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've seen your edits on various Basia articles and that you've added a number of links to her songs which don't currently have a Wikipedia page. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Amanda Lear into Amanda Lear filmography. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 17:40, 30 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
