There may or may not be other such users among the users of this IP address. In conclusion, I request for this IP address to be unblocked.

I noticed that the box at the top of this user page spells 'collateral' as something like 'colatertal'. I would edit it, but it is nothing but a {{User talk:202.156.6.54/Top}} or something like that in the editing screen. As I have no idea how to change this sort of things, can somebody please address this problem? Thanks! 202.156.6.54 08:48, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

You are not accomplishing anything
You are not hurting Microsoft in any way with your repeated vandalism. You are just making a lot of work for the volunteers who try to maintain Wikipedia. Fan-1967 14:05, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- You're not letting people know anything. You're just wasting people's time. You could try to come up with constructive, well-researched facts, but I guess that's not as much fun as just putting dollar signs into the name. Fan-1967 14:14, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- OK, I've been blocked. I'll be back tomorrow night. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that millions read daily. It should at least try to inform users so they don't get cheated.
Signed, the cousin of the poster on the Village Pump Misc they didn't believe.
- You haven't "informed" anybody of anything. Replacing "s" with "$" doesn't "inform". Since none of your edits stay in place longer than a minute, you're just wasting time for everyone. Fan-1967 14:30, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
If people see all the dollar signs they will know Wikipedia is no fan of Microsoft's evil methods of making money by cheating others with inferior software and destroying competitors.
If you are one of the people who actually writes Wikipedia, I suggest you add information to the Microsoft article, about how they have cheated people. I know many people have their edits reverted quickly, so I'm not going to bother spending lots of time on edits which will be reverted quickly. My method is fast and effecient - it just takes me a few minutes, and by hitting 20 pages, by the time someone reverts everything, there'll be some passing readers who will see my work and see how Microsoft cheats people.
I'm going to check with SingNet whether they offer shared IPs - if so, I'll sign up for an account with them. I have a friend who uses AOL who would be interested in helping me with this. Perhaps if we have 10 ISPs which use dynamic IPs or IPs shared by thousands of people, and we keep doing this, anonymous editing will have to be completely prohibited. I once edited constructively with an account, and I know everything that's going wrong with Wikipedia - including allowing anonymous editing. If doing this will help you and other Wikipedians open their eyes to the problems here, I will stop.

- Wikipedia is not a soapbox. Its purpose is to explain subjects in an encyclopedic fashion, and it is to not have any agendas past that. If you wish to add criticsm to Microsoft's page, consider discussing it with other editors first. A better idea, however, is to contribute to the Criticism of Microsoft page. It already contains much information about Microsoft's poor buisness practices, and you might be able to make some valuable contributions there. –Gunslinger47 04:29, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
I just had a look at the Criticism of Microsoft article. It's good. If more of that information were in the Microsoft article, I would not complain. But the Microsoft article contains too little information to help keep users from being cheated by Microsoft, and it's pushed down to the bottom of the article. You need to make the Criticism section longer, and take more information from the good Criticism of Microsoft article, and make sure it's not near the end of the article. I was away for a few days, then I just got AOL, and my cousin has a shared IP offered by SingNet, so I'll be back. --218.186.9.1 10:32, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

This address has again been blocked from editing because it has been used for persistent vandalism of Wikipedia. If you have been affected by this block, but are innocent of any misbehavior, we apologize for the inconvenience. We invite you to register an account to bypass this problem. This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
