N–Ukraine relations

Hello, having worked on many of these articles myself and seeing all of the other articles, I assure you, it is not standard practice but more of a personal preference, ex: Spain–United States relations, Spain–United Kingdom relations, Canada–Germany relations. Aquintero82, (talk); 10:11, 24 August 2018 (UTC)

  • So why are you so against this personal preference in these two cases? --Andrei (talk) 17:16, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
Hi, country comparison does nothing to demonstrate the relations between both nations. Regards Aquintero82, (talk); 11:12, 24 August 2018 (UTC)

Israeli party colours

Hi Andrei. Apologies for undoing your addition of colours to the Israeli minister lists, but there was a discussion some time ago about doing this, and it was decided not to, largely on the basis that the colours of the early parties were not definitely known, and assigning colours to them was

WP:OR. For example, you assigned Meretz's green to Mapam, and Likud's blue to Sephardim and Oriental Communities; Mapam's colour was probably some kind of red as they were a very left-wing socialist party. The latter's colour is unknown, but there was no link to Likud other than the fact that a party they merged into later merged with another to form Likud. Anyway, hopefully the point is made that we can't randomly assign colours to these parties. Cheers, Number 57

Help to improve poland wiki project in persian

Hi, i am wiki member from Iran that tried to improve articles about Poland in Persian wiki ( you can see project page here [[1]]) because of poor Iranian data about Poland and not any knowledge in Polish language, I always use English data. accidentally i found you today and i need your help to Pronunciation polish word and providing reliable sources for article. If you have any interest to help me just call me. This article is one of my job ([[2]]).Muhammadam1 (talk) 22:02, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

Yes, that is interesting. Let me know what can i do. --Andrei (talk) 22:11, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
At first im really sorry for my formal writing type and poor English skills, especially in writing. Iran and Poland have a especial relation in 20 century. In WW2 more than 100000 Polish found refuge in Iran (A documentary film about this event [[3]]). Because of this story, Iranian really impressed by Polish, they have church, school, Synagogue in Iran. but Iranian know a little about your history and i really like to improve Iranian knowledge about Poland. there is some problem that i notice before. After this long prelude let me talk about my problem, in Warsaw Uprising i need some data about how people live in the course of uprising, food, water, electricity supply, Warsaw Bulletin and Radio and thing like this. if you can help me, im really appreciated.Muhammadam1 (talk) 22:53, 25 January 2019 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on

section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://la.wikisource.org/wiki/Banderia_Prutenorum. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing
.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to [email protected], so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at [email protected].

Thank you!
