I can't find a source at the moment that lists the entire top 100 - most only give top 10 without sales figures. The Billboard website has end of decade top 100s for all the charts but the OCC doesn't have the same on its website. 03md 14:05, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

The reasons were: if a character is married, it's in the family section of the infobox. "In a relationship" isn't a legal status. And one example, Chelsea Fox, was in a relationship, single, in a relationship and single again all within a week so we thought it was pointless to be changing it on a daily basis. It's also "in universe" information and infoboxes should, on the main, be relevant to the character as a whole, whereas when Bradley was in a relationship with Syd, saying he was "in a relationship" was only indicative of a short part of his time in the show. He's been single, dating, engaged, separated, divorced and dating again. Which one should we use? Then there was the issue of people not updating the status when something happened on screen, meaning the informatiom was wrong. Also, when someone was dating somebody, their actual "legal" status was ignored, so if they were divorced or widowed, it wasn't included. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 11:24, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

But that's not actually a problem. I mean sometimes there were incorrect facts that needed correcting. I think you don't really understand things and you want things to be longterm. It doesn't matter if you change it all the time because I personally do not mind. For eg: a couple months back I used to use wiki for webbased research and one minute Peggy was under the pole dancer cat. That was good because that is what she did. I today got a message from User:Weltpolitik saying I was wrong to do this and my edit was reverted because "Wikipedia does not have strict rules" and "If EastEnders WikiProject follow that rule they don't have to impose it on another WikiProject." I'm just wondering if I was correct to make that edit?

I'm also a bit wary of User:Weltpolitik as they're reminding me of User:Archie Mitchell. I've not reported Weltpolitik as a sockpuppet as they have only joined today and I'm assuming good faith as I don't want to scare off any new editors by reporting them when they're innocent. Hey there, hope you don't mind me asking you a question about another soap's character. In today's Australian episode of Neighbours, Andrew Robinson's birth date was revealed as 20 August 1993. However, he was actually born, on screen, on 13 November 1991. I was just wondering which birth date should go in his infobox? It was mentioned before he arrived on screen that he would be de-

by two years, but I thought his birth date would have stayed the same. I don't think the writers did their research there.

Of course I don't mind! Hmm, that's a tricky one and not something I've come across so far. What I would do is mention in the article that the character was born on screen in the episode first broadcast on 13 November 1991, then mention that the character was SORAS'd (with a reference if you have it) and say that his birthdate was changed to 20 August 1993. As for the infobox, it's really tricky. I would consider not including it at all, and just having it as prose in the article, but perhaps

That's ok, sometimes I wish I was a sysop so I could just block people like that straight away. Am I right in thinking that you use Huggle for some edits? If so, do you know how to revert more than one edit from the same person? I've spent the last couple of days trying to work it out but every option I come across just says that it's reverting to another edit by the same IP which is not really good. Rather than risk reverting to a vandalised edit I've been coming on and asking Twinkle to revert it instead, but I really would prefer to know how to do it on Huggle too!

By the way, if you go back to GenoPro and look under Tools for "AutoArrange GenoMap" you might get a slightly better-looking tree. The great thing about GenoPro is that you can move things around and have them look how you want. I like to leave as little whitespace between people in the tree as possible. Editing the article won't improve its chances. It gets 2 points for being promoted over 2 years ago, 2 points for being a 25 year anniversary, 1 point because I've never nominated an FA for TFA before. Editing the article will have no effect whatsoever. EastEnders is not an FA so that can't be nominated for TFA. But like I said on WT:EE, 26 feb is a perfect tribute. There's no policy, we just decided that not every character needs to have an infobox, especially if it only contains basic information. It also helps with the removal of whitespace. I hid them, rather than deleted them, so they can still be updated if we decide to display them again - for example, if she becomes a regular character and has more information written about her. I made sure all the information that would be in the infobox is written in prose so no information would be lost. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 19:24, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

I had a few SFG articles on my watchlist when the project was created. To be honest, I didn't think it was worth creating since they've only had a few releases and it's pretty much covered by other projects. I spend most of my time on the EastEnders project so I probably won't get a lot of time to work with you on the SFG project but I'll help out where and when I can. I've seen a lot of articles deleted at AFD because they were about singles that hadn't been released yet and then once they charted they were simply recreated as the notability criteria had been met. Yes this admin is not very helpful to the matter the page clearly states you should see if the admin that deleted it can help before bringing it to that page. Anyway yes it's charted now which means it's noteable. Could you help me instead? I made a lot of edits to the page and now they're all gone, it took me a long time.

Yeah, I got it added there a few weeks back but forgot about it! So we've got two things to look out for on the Main Page. Thing is, if we got Pauline to the Main Page on the anniversary, we wouldn't have been allowed it in "on this day" as well. So maybe it's a good thing that Old Trafford beat us. Well, they might. They normally save "Julia's theme" for special episodes like "Frank Week" or for when a character leaves or dies. It's their 25th anniversary, Bradley's leaving and it will be the last episode with Diederick Santer at the helm. It is possible that they will play it. I did take my camera, but it didn't work half the time! Still I got a good picture of me and Jake Wood and my friend took one of me and Charlie Clements. We also went along to the BBC after the live show to see what we could see, there was lots of press there. Charlie Clements managed to get past the lot of them because his girlfriend drove him out, and that was despite me telling them god knows how many times it was him! The press just said it wasn't him because it's not his car, I was just like "yeah, that's because he's got his girlfriend to pick him up!" As for Madeline Duggan, when we saw her, one of my friends posted on Twitter that Madeline Duggan had just arrived in a car and got replies such as "Madeline Duggan drives?". Yeah I'm going to look into doing that once I work out the software for my new camera. My friend has the one of me and Charlie but says she will send it on. Yeah, I kind of decided to come and see Elstree for once and decided to make a holiday to London at the same time. Maisie Smith was lovely, even if I didn't really meet her, I waved at her as she was driven in, and she just started waving frantically at everyone there bless! Well, again, she'll stay Stacey Branning until we know otherwise. Even after they divorced, we kept her as "Branning nee Slater" until she was refered to as Stacey Slater on screen in a "legal" fashion. Stacey Branning is now the characters "legal" name until she changes it or remarries, but the articel should stay at Stacey Slater. We've had this debate too many times, the decision was made and another marriage should not change the outcome. Ah you're right, they could stand as articles on their own. As they were, all they said was "so and so is an actor best known for playing [character] in EastEnders." I think they should only be recreated when they've got some sources in them, but looking at IMDb they were both in quite a few things before EastEnders. The editor said that he worked for this Christian Audigier and says that some of the information that we have is libellous. Random EastEnders character pages, but generally current ones. Most infamous for saying Steve McFadden is taking a role as James Bond and Dot Branning will be killed off due to smoking-related cancer. When a page is protected, he just moves onto the next. Yeah, it is strange isn't it! Previously when I've requested speedy deletion for a page that's been deleted I just get a message saying that it's already been deleted and saying why it was deleted. This time though it seems to have re-created the page and then Dashbot went along and patrolled the page saying it was ok! I might actually have a word with Dashbot's user as I'm fairly certain the page shouldn't have been marked as patrolled when it was marked for speedy deletion, I would've thought that the bot should've deleted it.

I am assuming that you are a fan of Rhydian. I have just got back from the Royal Albert Hall and he was excellent.

With reference to your substituting "Roberts" for every reference to Rhydian in the article, I think that he is universally known as Rhydian and can't understand why you would have made this substitution. The fan badges say Rhydian and indeed, while giving him both name and surname as a heading, this biog. for example names him as Rhydian throughout. You will also notice that almost all the YouTube videos dispense with the surname and call him Rhydian.

Why would you want to consistently call him "Roberts" when he is universally known as "Rhydian?"

I won't reverse your edit as I can see you are very vigilant and I don't want to offend you and I somehow feel that you would just counter-reverse no matter what the merits of the situation are. But it is better to be kind than "right," and with all due respect I think you are wrong here.

So I would ask you to reconsider this and perhaps undo it yourself.

Actually, I'm not a Rhydian fan. I just happen to have the article on my watchlist since he was on X Factor, and I think it's in a bit of a state. I think it's more encyclopaedic to refer to him as Roberts throughout the article. It seems a bit unprofessional to put "Rhydian did this". Yes, I agree the article is in a bit of a state, and that is why I (as a writing professional, among other things...although not a wikipedia administrator) have been tightening it and getting rid of some of the guff. To say it doesn't "look right" to refer to Rhydian as "Rhydian" I still find puzzling. Looking at other X Factor articles and can see that they all refer to the contestants only by their surnames. I can only assume that you have a semi-proprietary interest in X-Factor articles, but surely that doesn't override subjects' right to be known as they are commonly known? Seems contrary to reason.

Would you mind if we at least sprinkle a few references to him as Rhydian around, so that he may be known as Rhydian? It is after all the name that people know him as, and I think - tbh - that you are sacrificing this to a misplaced desire for consistency at the expense of familiarity. The reason I don't think it looks right is because Wikipedia uses last names with very few exceptions. A similar example is

Darius Campbell (previously Danesh) and although he's recorded under the name "Darius", the article refers to him as Campbell throughout, but says in the opening paragraph that he's known professionally as Darius. I think the same should be done with Rhydian. And it's a fact that his name is Rhydian Roberts, regardless of what he uses to record by. For example, when he won a bursary, he was Rhydian Roberts. Hey sorry if last night I was a bit blunt or whatever, I was having tired and annoyed with iTunes (also I hate being wrong)! I'm pretty sure the guideline I quoted supports your point because, like Shakira, Rhydian does not use his surname (but Elvis and Cliff did/do). Has he ever used it professionally? Interestingly, I'm watching This Morning and just now Holly Willoughby refered to him as "Rhydian Roberts". I guess because I'm on Wikipedia and the article has been named Rhydian Roberts for so long I know him as Rhydian Roberts so I would have pushed for using his last name, but from what you have said, he doesn't use it. If his third album used the name Roberts, we'd have to change it all! You have done a WONDERFUL job of editing, and I blush to tell you this, but in fact he does use the name Rhydian Roberts. My point was that he is hardly ever termed "Rhydian Roberts" in general reference - and that's why the article name was correct as it stood, with a "Rhydian" Redirect to it. Unlike, say, Angelia Jolie, whose surname is an integral part of her identification in the public's mind (Angelinajolie), or Juliaroberts or Drewbarrymore or Camerondiaz, Rhydian Roberts - through retaining his surname professionally - is generally thought of and referred to as Rhydian. Look for example at his fansite, which uses both names in its URL address but at the top just calls him "Rhydian" and doesn't refer to his surname anywhere on the site....I have to say that you are right and according to the a Stanual of Mile (yes, I am feeling crazy enough to spoonerize it) you would be correct in surnaming him throughout, but it is not how he is popularly known, although he is INTRODUCED that way. Choose the "Listen to All" option at the tracklist, and you may get converted by tracks 8 and 11. I have spent <hours> completely revamping the article today. Matt Di Angelo

Hello

I'm after some advice as I've noticed you've undone my latest two additions to Matt Di Angelo's page relating to the next series of Hustle and more information on Fried Brain Sandwich. Have I've forgotten to add something or is there anything I need to do to enable these edits to remain? I thought I had included the relevant certification in terms of links to websites, especially as the Hustle one is the official website of Matt Di Angelo's agent. Is this not enough? I would appreciate further advice as I'm considering revamping the page to make it look neater and more professional ie. listing his early career work, Eastenders, Hustle and future projects but wouldn't want to start this and not include the relevant information/links necessary especially as it would be nice to get the page as accurate as possible - in terms of career at least.

Hi there., long time no speak! Thanks for informing me about the changes to the lists of minor characters. I think they look a lot better now, and I am going to try to devote a bit more of my wikitime to EE from now on. Looking through the EE wiki pages I came across the

article. Now, while there is some really good stuff in this article, I cant help feel its got some really important info missing on the history and development of EE.

While the article is very good at summarizing the early days of EE, its 'Later History' section streaks through a large time frame with very little detail. We then have quite a large section about the 25th anniversry, but no earlier mention of the 10th or 20th anniversaries. In particular, I think it would be good to include EE's 'dark days', particularly EE's 'comedy' year in 1989 under Mike Gibbon after the departure of Julia Smith and Tony Holland (there already is some good detail about this period in certain character articles of the time, such as Julie Cooper (EastEnders)), as well as EE's ratings dip in 2004 and Louise Berrridge's published apology.

However, I am aware that bits EE's history already exisit on wiki in other articles, particularly the main EastEnders page, and I dont want to duplicate anything. So I come to you, as a fountain of EE wiki knowledge for some guidance! Any ideas? Bleaney (talk) 16:10, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

I agree with everything you've suggested, and if there's anything in the main EastEnders page that duplicates it, wel, that doesn't really matter if it's relevant to the history of the show, but I'm not sure what would duplicate it - maybe parts of the critique section? Don't worry about duplication. Sometimes topics overlap and there is duplication. Just look at Who Killed Archie? and EastEnders Live. Well, ive started. I'm finding that a lot of info for the History of EastEnders can be found on the pages of the various past Exec producers of EE, but ive come across an inconsistancy, namely Sharongate. The article on Barbara Emile claims she was responsible for the Sharongate storyline as exec producer, but so does the article on Corinne Hollingworth, which also seems to indicate that Sharongate was the 10th anniversary storyline. Their edits aren't always creepy, and in the past they have included calling Lorna Fitzgerald "the most likeable actor in EastEnders" and similar. In fact, the last sockpuppet I blocked was totally non-creepy. They made this edit to Lorna, and I wouldn't have been suspicious but the username seemed to be in Ln's style. On checking the contributions, this edit made me suspicious, since Ln is known to have edited that article as well. I didn't block though, until they started creating articles about Blink-182, and Ln is known to be a fan of that particular band. So yeah, not everything by Ln is creepy, but I've been blocking and reverting the socks since the beginning so I know exactly what to look out for. anemoneprojectors talk 18:48, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

Is there any chance that you, with administrator-type hobnailed boots, might leap in and alter the low classification of the Rhydian article at the Biography portal. It has only been classified as Start, and is now worth a C at least if not a B, imho.

I have reverted that edit. I think the article is C-class, as I think there are just a few issues that still need to be worked on, such as the format of the references. The Wikiproject tags at the top of the talk page are all relevant as it's a biographical article about an X Factor contastant from Wales, so the article is within the scope of all three WikiProjects. And obviously the living persons template applies, as he's living. It is to remind users of the BLP policy. But you don't have to be an administrator to do anything you've asked me to do. Sure. A lot of the references just use bare urls. There is a tool that can help fix them, which you can read about at User:Dispenser/Reflinks. If that seems too complicated, you might want to do it manually. It's best to use citation templates, such as {{cite web}}. There's also a tool that can help with that, which you can read about at Wikipedia:RefToolbar. I highly recommend it, I use it all the time as it's easier than typing the whole template. I've had a quick look at the article, from what I've seen I think I would just agree with what the other reviewer said.

That said, I don't understand why this nomination wasn't just put on hold. When I nominated The Bill for GA, the reviewer had to put it on hold for 3 months for me because of the work and research that I needed to do! Hi, noticed that you have been editing the recently created

article. I just want to point out a few innacuracies in the article -

Firstly, there was no public voting in this series, the final line up of contestants that formed Hear'Say were picked by the judges NOT the public.

There were no live episodes, all episodes were pre-recorded and edited.

Davina McCall did NOT host the series, there was no host, just a voice over artist. There was no Popstars Extra show either!

All of these things only started in the second series, Popstars the Rivals.

She has charted in Germany, just not very high. I used the Music Line site. I added refs to all the chart positions, but they were removed and I gave up adding them back. I'm planning to move the discography stuff to a seperate article eventually and getting back to improving the main article. Master133 is a nightmare. Sends me messages through last.fm saying "Hi there remove the part that says laurie brett signed up for another year" or similar. I have asked why several times and the only reason I've been given is "I gave you the information". They even asked me to completely remove reference 3 from the article. I explained that I will not remove facts from the article, that anyone could have found the information, and that it does not mean she will leave EastEnders. I asked for a reason but all I got was "Hi there remove the part that says laurie brett signed up for another year." So I sent a polite message asking not to ask me any more as I am not going to remove facts from the page, and he said he will not stop until I remove it. Have you not downloaded them? "You Don't Care" is amazing, has a Beatles sound to it. Also the studio recording of Whole Lotta Love is excellent! Some of the songs sound like Twilight songs - they're not, but they have that feel to them - and "I Will Be" is one of the songs and that's definitely from Spirit. Can I just check something with you please?

With the article List of The Bill characters people have been changing this recently so the 'last appearance' date reads 2010. Now I know that the programme is ending this year, so all the characters final appearances will be in 2010, however as that is not due to happen until around autumn time, I've been reverting the edits so that the 'last appearance' still reads 'current'. As far as I'm aware it is March 2010 so it should read current and should not change until the programme has finished? Am I right or have I completely misunderstood this?

I don't know what normally happens on Wikipedia when a long-running serial drama announces its ending. If it was something like Lost, for example, you wouldn't even say the character was appearing in the last season until it was announced, and if that was to be the last season, it would already have the season number the character appeared in. But since UK serial dramas don't have seasons or series, then it's a bit more complicated. But personally, I think you should say current, and add in the lead section that the show is ending in 2010. You never know, they might make some sort of spin-off and use the same characters, so even 2010 might be wrong!

As for Dot, I am aware that you can as for a reassessment if you think it was wrong, but in this case the reviewer was right, they just didn't put it on hold, which is why I didn't ask for a reassessment. I didn't transfer the "age" parameter because that shouldn't really be used at all, as it only represents 1 year of that particular character and not the whole time they were in the show. No problem, I didn't mean to be either :) I have no idea about Jan Hammond. I was the one who put her there when we changed the pages from "list of minor characters" to "list of characters". Didn't know where else to put here. There are some other lists that are in the wrong order, especially when characters appeared on the same date, though that's less important. Yeah we try to order them by the order they first appeared in the episode, for example, Zsa Zsa, Fatboy and Leon were all introduced in the same episode, in the order they are listed. It'll be families that are mostly the problem - Slaters, etc. I think Robbie Jackson was one I was unsure of too. I can't remember if any others lacked a start date. Oh good luck. I wouldn't mind those things either. He copied my user page, but the talk page was strange and unformatted, I think he might have copied the text instead of the Wiki code. I cleverly added things to my user page so that when they're pasted to another person's page, it marks the page for speedy deletion, but of course once that happens he just blanks the page so it's not brought to admin attention. I did the same thing on the talk page but he never copies that part, he knows where it is. Just to let you know that I've had previous problems with this editor who's currently doing their rounds adding in great great great grandfathers (or whatever they are - didn't count the greats!) to the Branning family pages. I had problems with him on the

to request page protection and one of the admins (I think it was GedUK) had to speak to him, warn him about his edits.

I thought I'd heard the last of him until I went to Danny Mitchell's page the other day and saw that he'd added in unnecessary info there too. I know he phoned Glenda the other day but is there really any need to quote her word for word when she's just telling him he's doing a good job by getting his feet under the table at the Vic?!

Hi mate, I wanted to get your opinion on an issue to do with the top 10 singles articles. Do you think that the "Entries by artist" table should only include singles that peaked in that year or should it also include songs that remained in the top 10 for a couple of weeks into that year but peaked in the previous year? My reason for asking is that I have just finished the

Discography query

Hi AP, I know you work on quite a few music-related articles so I hope you don't mind me asking a question (I'll ask at MOSDISCOG if you don't know, but I didn't want to do that first in case it's a really stupid question with an obvious answer I'm just completely missing...) When there's a discography page for a group, should that info be replicated across all the group members' articles, or should there just be a link to the group discog? To be specific, because it's the only one I've worked on - is it okay for relevant info from

Eastenders

I don't really edit Eastenders articles that much, I'm working my way through adding reception info for Neighbours, Corrie and Hollyoaks really, I thought it was a shame not to include EE character's this Ruth Deller is referencing, I noticed you are going back and editing what I've put, so Sorry if It seems a little rushed. I can't get the cite tool bar to work properly either, I've tried a few times to get it working but my Opera browser is having non of it, so I often just type the parameters out from memory. Also in Jane Beale's article, the Hollyoaks reference that Ms Deller made, was a storyline in which Jaqui longed for a child, wanted to adpot and foster, tried a surrogate, in which media sources commented ruined her character, so she was hoping they don't take that route with Jane. That's why I left it because I thought it a fair comparison, but thinking about it, it's not over with on-screen so, probably best left out.RAIN the ONE (Talk) 23:11, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

I'm glad you're adding the reception from lowculture. I was going to but couldn't really be bothered! I did a few before you started. I have all the EastEnders pages watchlisted so I always come along and make little edits after people add stuff. Shame you can't get the cite toolbar to work cos it's really handy. I think if there had been a comparison between the EastEnders and Hollyoaks storylines then maybe it could have been kept in, though it would have had to be explained for those not familiar with Hollyoaks (like me!). Ringo Brown

Hi Anemone

I'm just wondering if it's me completely missing something here or being incredibly thick.

Someone has nominated the image on Ringo Brown's page for deletion saying it's in breach of

WP:NFCC

. However I really can't see how it's in breach of these but I'm wondering if it's just me being thick! I really can't see how you can get images of a character unless it's via a screenshot. Someone has mentioned at the deletion page that the image is replacable because we could go on to the Neighbours set during rehearsals/filming and take a photo of the character then, but then surely that would class as us taking a photo of the actor whilst at work!

UK charts

Hi, I have been continuing to work on the top 10 UK single articles and decided to create one for

1952

. Would you be able to copy edit the lead and give me some feedback on the article, and also point me in the direction of some references (I have not had much success with Google News archive).

I am also not sure what to do when it comes to the 1954 article when it is created - the chart ran as a top 12 for most of the year but changed to a top 20 late on - should I list the top 12 for the whole year and then put a note on the 1954 and 1955 pages explaining this. The 1955 article onwards could then just list the top 10 singles.

Oh hi. I only remember doing edits to List of Doctors characters, I'm not sure how I came across it but I saw things that needed fixing so I fixed them. Interesting, but keet an eye on the article, I already had to revert once. Don't let anyone add this as it's clearly unrealiable without it being confirmed elsewhere (not just reported with attribution to the Daily Star, as is highly likely to happen), as this is a rather unreliable source on its own. Hi, I don't think they necessarily need updating because an image of the character is an image of the character, no matter how old. E20 was only a few months ago so they images aren't that out of date anyway, but I still don't think there's a reason to replace them at all. Sure. In most cases they probably don't need updating. By the way if a character doesn't have their own article and is in a list of characters, it might not be a good idea to upload an image if they don't already have one, as there is a restriction on the number of copyrighted images we can use in one page. Stevenage FC logo

You keep removing the logo for Stevenage that I put up.

The first time I noted it as being Fair use - but I note I didn't correctly select the fair-use category. So why not just correct it instead?

Instead of just correcting my error, the file gets listed for deletion and the old (and now incorrect logo) gets put back! So it is preferred to have the page out of date with the old logo which has the same fair-use status. Utter stupidity.

I therefore re-loaded it selecting the correct fair-use policy, which is the same as the old logo, and put it back replacing the old logo, but you have removed it again, quoting the same reason as before, which is now false, because I corrected it, and instead uploaded the same image under a different file name, just to take credit.

Apart from effectively taking credit for what I did, your file name is misleading - your file name for the new logo refers to the old club name, which is somewhat ironic.

You didn't specify the source or the licence for the image, so it couldn't be used in the article! I reverted to the image that was correctly sourced and licenced. It's not up to me to correct your errors. I did nothing "just to take credit". There's no ownership on Wikipedia, and besides, it's not your logo, so even you can't "take credit" for it. What I did do is what you should have done, i.e. gone to the existing image and opted to "upload a new version", then updated the source information. Hmmm I always thought sales were generally removed from discographies, personally I don't see the point in including them (if it's been certified that indicates sales anyway). I don't know, but it's not very good. A lot of your images come out too dark as well. Maybe if you didn't have iPlayer full screen? Maybe it's not the best way to capture images. User:Gungadin was always our supplier of images and she had a good way of doing it, but I don't know what it was. But as I said, there's not really any need to upload new images where images already exist, because there's no need to be "current". Also, it's probably not a good idea to upload new images for characters that don't have their own articles, because we are not allowed too many fair use images in each article. For example, the 2009 page now has seven images, so they could all end up being tagged for deletion. We used to have an image for every infobox, but people complained and several were deleted. I don't mind new images being added if they are an improvement :-) I haven't seen Gungadin around for a while, so I don't know how soon you'll get a reply. It's good that there's someone else willing to supply images though. But anyone can use iPlayer. I wonder if it might be better if you didn't have it full screen, though you'd have to get a full-frame shot of the face. I did think it would be a good idea, but then thought I can just put the note on the top of the page 'for the engineer lee hunter..' I think I might put the engineer up for deletion anyway. Hmm, well, the baby might be born, but I don't think a section needs to be created for him because a) he doesn't have a name and b) if he's being adopted as the source says, he's going to be very minor, even for a baby. I'm trying to limit the main sections of the list to characters with some real-world information written about them. Plus, there was no evidence from the source that the baby will be seen anyway. Just thought I'd drop by and say a quick hello to you. Managed to sneak on to Wiki at work whilst most of my colleagues are in training :)

Hopefully I'll be back online soon, Virgin Media and BT have now given my internet a new reconnection date of 31 August. Apparently I'm currently being held up in a BT backlog lol!

I'm online today trying to keep an eye on the Neighbours article. After nearly 25 years on Channel Ten in Australia, Channel Ten have decided to move Neighbours to Channel Eleven, as you can imagine that has thrown the article right into the spotlight and there's been all sorts of edits to it today. I even reverted one earlier that said it aired on Channel Eleven 2011-present!

I didn't realise that Lauren Branning was returning to EastEnders played by a different actress. Josephine Jossa I think the article says, I wonder if she's any relation to Megan Jossa who played Courteney Mitchell at one stage? Either way I removed the caption for the article saying that was Lauren played by Madeleine Duggan. The chances are when the new actress comes along the image will be updated and Madeline's image will be removed or moved elsewhere in the article. No need to have it there at the moment.

That's fairly old news but if you haven't been around you wouldn't have known. It's Jacqueline Jossa and they probably are related but there are no reliable sources. They were born in the same district and went to the same performing arts school. I restored the caption because a new image won't overlay the old one, we'll keep Duggan's photo and move it to image2, and upload a new one of Jossa to image1. Hello!

I thought you would be the best person to ask on this as I just know that this is going to happen when The Bill airs it's final ever episode on Tuesday.

At the minute the lead starts "The Bill is Britain's longest running police procedural". Even after it ends, it is still the longest running whatever, but I would reword the whole thing. I would say something like "The Bill was a British television series..." and then after that say what it's about and that it's the longest running, otherwise it will be changed forever. It's Walford Web forums. I think I can block him but as the site has only just re-opened after it's server went into meltdown I'm not entirely sure how. BBC

Hello!

Bit of a strange query but I thought you would be the best person to ask.

There's a question been posted at Talk: BBC where someone has proposed a name change to the article. They have said that there are numerous articles on Wikipedia that could all qualify for being called BBC and it might be clearer if we renamed it to the British Broadcasting Corporatiion. So instead of typing in BBC to find the article the person would have to type in the full name!

I've said no - there is a disambiguation page clearly for all other Wikipedia articles that could come under this name and it's easy enough for people to click on that. Also when I did a Google search (really just to back up my point!) Google could only find the BBC relating to the British Broadcasting Corporation.

Is there any rule in Wikipedia regarding the naming of articles that would state if the name of one article could belong to multiple companies that we go by the name that returns the most hits on a Google search?

The answer was really a combo of Common Name and Primary Topic - we shouldn't rename it because of Common Name and shouldn't disambiguate because of Primary Topic.
