2012 Olympics Intro
Hi, I noticed you responded to my comment about the word celebrated on the first line of the 2012 Olympics. Thank you. I know it seems like just a small issue but it just seems wrong to me. I'm sure that the other Olympics pages also said 'held' before but now say 'celebrated'. I guessed (correctly) Hektor had changed them all, even though he is not a fluent English speaker and that 'held' is better in English really:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2008_Summer_Olympics&diff=229927648&oldid=229878841
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2004_Summer_Olympics&diff=142456145&oldid=142234060
What do you think about this? I am tempted to change them all back to held, but don't want an edit war and want concensus. Could you help me out in getting concensus on the Olympics portal or something. Again I know it's small but I want it right and don't like the idea of some other guy inventing his own version of wording and then enforcing it across all similar pages. Lewispb (talk) 17:11, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
Update: Some more for you if you needed more proof:

Olympic Cities Countdown
Hi Jared, how are you? I was wondering if we could add the 2011 All-Africa Games to the countdown, perhaps in place of the Incheon 2014 Games. Not that I want to slight the Koreans, but the AAG articles are in poor condition and it might encourage others to contribute. I have read that African topics are severely underserved on WP. I am willing to do the changes, I just wanted your opinion first since you are such a leader. Also, is there a similar European or Oceanic event that would warrent inclusion? Thanks. -Cbradshaw (talk) 22:08, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
- Hi again. Since you seem to be on a wiki-break, I went ahead and made the change for the AAG. Let me know what you think. Cheers-Cbradshaw (talk) 22:43, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Gediminas Kirkilas.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. Re:2008 Summer Olympics
I probably shouldn't because I have edited the page quite a few times since August and generally reviewers should be completely new to an article. Just browsing through it though, I noticed several fact tags and a few unsourced things (second paragraph of the bid section, much of the "Beijing National Stadium" and "transport" sections). There are also some minor referencing errors, ie. spaces between periods and citations, improperly formated references, etc. The page would benefit from having a peer review. Hope that helps. -- Scorpion0422 16:41, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Invitation to the African Destubathon
Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Center for the Advancement of Process Technology requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Jmertel23 (talk) 12:47, 12 May 2018 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Massachusetts state flag crop.png
Thank you for uploading File:Massachusetts state flag crop.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear.
