Hello, I'm Hawkedin. I noticed that you recently removed content without adequately explaining why. Hi Richie1509! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of an article several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 12:46, 16 November 2024 (UTC)

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Vice President of Namibia. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

- A discussion though not closed has been made to move the page from President of the State of Palestine to President of Palestine. Thus, instead, can you help move the page? Richie1509 (talk) 04:49, 29 April 2025 (UTC)
- I'll see. This is definitely going to mess a bunch of things up, because there are articles that still use the term "State of Palestine" (e.g. VP of the State of Palestine), so these articles might need a bunch of change if consensus is reached that all articles will use the new term. I'm not yet extended confirmed, so I can't do much, but I suggest leaving the other articles alone for now and only move them once consensus is reached for a definite move on the President article. I asked for protection on the President article. HwyNerd Mike (talk | contribs) 04:54, 29 April 2025 (UTC)
- I mean, the reason why the page Vice President of the State of Palestine is called that was because when it was created just a few days ago, the president page was called President of the State of Palestine, but now that it's moved, I'll also move the vp page.
- Besides, it's just like Israel, people officially refer to Israel as the State of Israel, but the page here for president is called President of Israel rather than President of the State of Israel. Richie1509 (talk) 04:57, 29 April 2025 (UTC)
- That makes more sense now. But since you moved these articles, you'll have to change most of the "State of Palestine" to "Palestine", or else it's kinda confusing honestly. HwyNerd Mike (talk | contribs) 04:59, 29 April 2025 (UTC)
- Good idea! But can you help me with that please? Richie1509 (talk) 05:01, 29 April 2025 (UTC)
- Sure! You can edit the VP page (I can't edit that), and I'll try to fix things on the President page (if it's not protected, didn't check). HwyNerd Mike (talk | contribs) 05:02, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello Richie1509,
Per Wikipedia's Manual of Style for biographies and parliamentary procedure, an individual ceases to be a Member of Parliament (MP) when Parliament is dissolved—that is, when the writs are dropped—not on election day. If the person does not win re-election, their term is officially considered to have ended on the date of dissolution, and they are no longer styled as “MP” after that point. This aligns with

Hello, Richie1509,
What possessed you to just move a Talk page without moving an article? This just results in an orphaned talk page which means the talk page is deleted which I don't think was your intent. So, instead, I had to go through the page history to track down where you moved this page from and return it back to where the article was left.
First, you should discuss moves first. But always move an article or category or template along with a talk page or basically you are asking for the talk page to be deleted.
If you have questions about page moves, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 06:17, 11 May 2025 (UTC)

About Liberal Leadership for Peter Dutton
Hi Richie1509, I noticed you changed Petter Dutton’s Liberal leadership date in his Wikipedia. According to my current resource. He already made a ‘graceful exit’ from politics. You can check the results from 9 news (https://www.9news.com.au/national/federal-election-2025-peter-dutton-back-in-canberra-after-losing-seat-liberal-party-defeat/d26513ce-8e12-42f3-9ba3-d18bf6f3b691). Currently the Liberal leadership is vacant .(Please check this Wikipedia: Leader of the Liberal Party of Australia)
In this case, if you still believe Petter Dutton is still a Liberal Leadership currently. Please present your reference which ensures his Wikipedia is not confusing any audience and keep his information is integrity.

- Can you please present the reference of John Howard which he still remained as leader of the Liberal Party. If you found it, and then please present the similar reference which relates to Peter Dutton.
- Please note, do not make any assumptions or intentions without any reference in the Wikipedia.

- So, can you please revert your edit for Peter Dutton as becoming liberal leader from 30 May 2022 to 3 May 2025? There is no evidence or any reference to cite that he is still a liberal leader.
- However, I got reference on the top which cited by 9 news (they mentioned that he made a ‘graceful exit’ politics, which means he is neither an opposition leader nor liberal leader now). This page Leader of the Liberal Party of Australia has been shown the current liberal leader is vacant.

Could you explain more on why you reverted the 2025 image back to the 2017 one? You said in your summary that it was in your opinion, better to put one in the presidency. Consensus never agreed to your revert. The 2017 image is of lower quality than the 2025 image. It's best to only do it when it's the official portrait.
