Re your edit here: Please do not revert to re-insert contentious edits. When proposing substantial changes to a lead section, an editor may object to your proposals. The proper response when this happens is not to unilaterally revert, but to try to obtain consensus on the article talk page. No the default position is to keep whatever edit is based on the evidence presented, ie you cannot unedit it UNLESS its based on the evidence or reliable source. The unedit implies a conclusion that the KKK is still relevant, it is against the core principle of No original research and lacks a neutral perspective by denouncing the fact that according to the rest of the sources he is a conservative politician. Therefore the edit must remain as I made it, without evidence to support the original lead section your claim of it 'lacking consensus' has no merit to the dispute in question. The Unbeholden (talk)

You are wrong on every point. There is no "default position" to keep your edits; rather, you must establish consensus. Moreover, your edit is at odds with the portrayal of the article by reliable sources (which state clearly that Duke is a far-right perennial candidate known primarily for his extreme (neo-Nazi) views and Klan association, and do not depict him as a garden-variety conservative politician at all). You are seriously trying to pass off Duke as a 'far-right perennial candidate for extreme neo-nazi views' because he frequently addresses the Jewish Question? I don't see any evidence so far that he has Klan assocation in the past 40 years. I'll have to assume that this is merely a extreme left leaning bias on your part, while using consensus as a shield to prevent the introduction of a unbiased correction based on the multitude of sources showing he is conservative, like his campaigning in Louisiana. Stub tags

Hi, I've just noticed you're moving stub tags to the tops of articles. Never saw this done before, and it does seem strange, also highly obtrusive. I believe Wikipedia's philosophy to be to present content as far as possible, with maintenance tags as unobtrusive to the ordinary reader as can be accomplished... of course, they remain just as searchable by Wiki-gnomes and content editors when they're at the end. I'm aware; but beyond my concerns with your edits it's a more general problem in any case. We have many, many film articles where it's unclear how the list of genres in the lead was determined. Is this a problem? Probably 90% or more of the time nobody even cares, but 10% of the time would still be a huge number of articles, and I don't go a day without seeing the genres listed in the leads of film articles being edited. I think we need a better system for this. That said, thank you for your efforts to better document your genre-related changes; I really appreciate it! We do not use one source for genres. See

To be fair, I may have partly led to this by noting that the films couldn't be categorized as neo-noir without sourced information in the articles describing them thusly. However, I believe we've found a good compromise option where we mention that the films have been considered neo-noir but don't elevate that to a lead genre classification. FYI: I posted the following request on 21 August 2019 regarding the categories being added: "Please do not add categories to film articles when there is no relation to the category, as you did by adding an American category to the Norwegian film, Thelma. You should look at a film article more carefully. Just because an American company acquires the North American rights to distribute a foreign film does not make that film "American". Thank you.
