Species

Birbalomys is an extinct genus of rodent from Asia.

The 30-centimetre-long (12-inch-long) creature has been thought to have been a member of the extant

Ctenodactyloidea, Chapattimyidae, and Yuomyidae families.[1] Early findings suggest that Birbalomys were found in the Subathu Formation in the Kuthar River in the Eocene epoch.[2]
