CHIREC International is a K–12 school located in Hyderabad, India. The school was founded in 1989 by Mrs. Ratna D. Reddy.[2]

History

In April 1989, the Children's Recreational Centre (CHIREC) began as a summer camp that offered classes in fine arts, performing arts, computer science, and indoor and outdoor sports. The same year, in June, CHIREC evolved into a school for Nursery, PP-I, and PP-II students. In 1996, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh,

In 2019, CHIREC entered into a partnership with Cognita, a global schools group with 76 schools across Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

Campuses and education

CHIREC International has three campuses, in

Kondapur (main campus), Jubilee Hills, and Gachibowli. The campuses are set up with solar power generation, recycling, and resource management to benefit the environment.[4]

The school reports that its students undertake innovative projects.[citation needed] Some examples are:

  • RoBoat – a remote-operated lake-cleaning machine
  • Solarmy – a device that generates and stores solar energy for use in remote areas
  • Energify – an energy-generating tile
  • MedEasy - an automated medical dispenser and monitoring system

The schools offer many clubs, including drama, oratory, culinary, cinema, science, photography learning, design, creative writing, and the E3 Club (Environmental Enrichment and Empowerment).
