The 2025 United States Boycott started because of the Donald Trump trade war agains the world, Elon Musk election interference in Germany[1] and Trump stance in the Russian invasion of Ukraine as staged in the 2025 Trump–Zelenskyy Oval Office meeting.
In many countries citicens have started to boycott buying United States products,[2] investing in United States companies and travelling to the United States.[3][4][5][6]
Travel from Canada decreased 70%, while travel from Europe decreased 17%.[7]
In Denmark, where Trump is threatening to take Greenland, there are many Facebook groups that urge consumers to boycot USA brands.[8]
In Sweden, there are also Facebook groups that urge the boycott of USA brands, since Trump is stopping support for Ukraine in the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Sweden as a NATO member is also worried that in case of Russian invasion, USA will not prevent it.[8]
In Germany, Tesla, Inc. sales plunged 76% as Elon Musk tried to interfere in the democatic election.[8]
In Norway, companies like Haltbakk Bunkers AS will not longer sell fuel to US forces or ships.[8]
In France, boycott against the USA started on March 1 by french farmer Edouard Roussez.[9]
In Canada, there are already mobile apps that allow scanning supermarked products bar codes to prevent buying United States products.[10][11]
