Open Service Mesh (OSM) was a

cloud native service mesh developed by Microsoft[2] that ran on Kubernetes.[3][4]

Overview

OSM was written in the

microservice environments.[6]

The source code is licensed under

open governance.[5][8] On May 4, 2023, the project announced it would be archived, ending CNCF investment in the project so that its contributors could focus on Istio.[9]
