Hi, I see that you want to keep destination maps on airports' pages. In that discussion lots of editors agreed to remove destination maps from airports and airlines. I've read again this discussion and just one editor disagreed with the proposal, but at the end he didn't say anything. Then, if you have a look here, you'll find clearly written "Do not add destination maps, this makes the Wikipedia look like a travel guide. It is also considered that they are a duplicate of information...". So I see no reasons to keep it on airports' articles like Auckland Airport. Thank you. All companies operating aircraft commercially must have an air operator's certificate (AOC). If you are operating a single Robinson R-22 and doing traffic reports for a radio station, you need an AOC. If you have a Fletcher FU24 and are spraying crops, you need an AOC. If you are taking photographs for Google Maps from a Cessna 172, you need an AOC. If you are teaching people to fly, you need an AOC. Conducting organ transplant flights in a Cessna Citation? You must have an AOC. If you are being paid to carry someone shooting deer out of a Hughes 500, you must have an AOC. Doing scenic flights in a Nomad from Lake Tekapo over Aoraki? You must have an AOC. If you are operating Aerospatiale Ecuriel helicopters up onto Fox Glacier, you must have an AOC. Having an AOC does not make a company an airline.

The onus is on you to demonstrate that the companies in the list are actually licensed as airlines. Glenorchy Air isn't - it says so on its own website: "Glenorchy Air is a fixed wing scenic flight company". Ridge Air isn't; from its website: "RidgeAir NZ is a fully professional Air Transport Charter Operator operating New Zealand wide. We also offer Multi Engine Advanced Instrument Flight Training." Island Air Charter isn't; from its website: "All flight prices promoted on this website are based on minimum passenger numbers being met. If these minimum numbers are not met, the price per seat will increase to offset the missing seat(s)." That isn't an airline operation, that is an air charter operation. Mountain Air isn't; from its website: "Flights leave on demand with a minimum of 2 people". That isn't an airline operation. I looked carefully at the various companies' websites and I also looked carefully at various pages on the CAA website; what research did you do, other than glance at a Wikipedia article that lacks references for the information it contains, and then use that unreferenced information as justification for undoing my earlier edit? As mentioned on their respective websites, both airlines operate daily scheduled flights.--Biponacci (talk) 00:34, 4 January 2020 (UTC) I can't find any scheduled flights on Salt Air website anywhere only charters with nothing timetabled as such however the Air Auckland has timetabled flights under air taxi from Ardmore so this can be included. CHCBOY, earlier today, I removed the company slogan from Kiwi Regional Airlines. This is because this parameter is no longer supported in Infoxbox Airline and puts the page in the maintenance category Category:Pages_using_infobox_airline_with_company_slogan to be fixed. You reverted my change. I am going to make this correction again. If you revert my correction a second time, it will be considered vandalism. We won't be able to find a secondary source for hub even for Air NZ at Auckland. There is no mention in the media. However Jetstar Auckland hub fits the definition for a hub from the Airline hub Wikipedia page. Plus Auckland is listed under the Jetstar infobox as the hub for New Zealand. As a third party, I'd say that Jetstar doesn't have any 'hubs' full-stop as a low cost carrier (LCC), I can find very little secondary sources refer to the Jetstar hubs as 'hubs', and some of the primary sources refer to the Jetstar 'hubs' as 'bases' (ie Melbourne Base, Sydney Base, etc). On a similar matter, I can only find some secondary sources stating that AKL is a hub for Air New Zealand, and like with Jetstar, I can't seem to find any primary sources stating that Air New Zealand has their 'hub' at Auckland, despite NZ clearly scheduling AKL as a hub. Christchurch Wikipedia Meetups

Kia ora! For the first half of 2024 I'm the Aotearoa Wikipedian-at-Large, based in Christchurch and funded by a grant from Wikimedia Aotearoa New Zealand. As part of the project I'm running regular meetups in Tūranga where local Wikipedians can meet, chat, help each other out and collaborate on projects. I'll also be organising edit-a-thons, wikiblitzes, and training for new editors. The goal is to grow the editor community in Christchurch and convince local institutions that Wikipedia is worth taking seriously.

We're having an initlal coffee in Foundation Cafe on Sunday 18 February to talk about what Christchurch Wikipedians might like to do; come along if you're free, or drop me a line at mikerove.wiki if you have ideas or suggestions.
