Re LSD Molecule
Hey Rick, thanks for the email. Actually, I can make rotating images for that stuff. LOL, it's kinda of a process but don't let that scare you. Basically I use two programs. The first is Accelery's chemical software (free) to input SMILE formulas, then I save that file to a .png so Qutemol (the second program, also free) can render it with it's rendering functions (such as a rotating molecule).
Hope this helps, let me know if I can get you started. Im one person working on chemistry articles constantly. If we get more people on board we can really clean house and make those articles shine!
- Thanks for such a quick edit to mdma, i copy/pasted the image code and discovered it - what must have been a moment after you. Ashame that gif doesn't render perfectly in firefox (it kinda overlaps a bit of text), W3 non-standard CSS support, meh. Hum, I might wanna try what Microswitch has done. I'll fire up my desktop - it has a card supported by qutemole. --x1987x(talk) 01:29, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

- Personally I love chemsketch, [[1]] it's free for personal use (you can register by filling out the form with fake info, then they give you a link, doesn't matter). MDMA precursors in saffron
Hi there, I'm just wondering if you have any other sources for a precursor of MDMA being in saffron (safrole I presume?). You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. AfD and assume good faith
I think you'd find AfD a lot more accommodating if you answered objections on the merits, rather than ranting at the nominator. You're not winning any friends with this and frankly its probably going to raise some eyebrows. I know it's frustrating when an article's nominated, but your first draft apparently took a lot of the webpage verbatim, enough that the bot caught it. Also, there are lots of open source projects that are deleted every week because they don't have widespread notability. Nominations have nothing to do with you: it's not personal. So don't respond to the nominator as though it were. Shadowjams (talk) 21:34, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Aspera on Cloud Draft Publication
Hello Miserlou, hope all is well. My username is Ddvandestreek and I found your profile overviewing users that have made edits to Fast and Secure Protocol. I drafted an article titled Aspera on Cloud. Wikipedia is not publishing the article on grounds of G11, or appearing too promotional. I have extensively rewritten the article and still have not been approved to publish. I contacted the user who deleted the post and he recommended having a more established editor publish the article. If I were to send you the article, would you be able to do so? Thank you for your time.

Civility and goals
Really? I see a first mention of this topic was in 2006 above. Have you never seen the problem that Wikipedia has with self-promotion? Hey, somebody is really proud of their company and wants to let everybody know. It is not necessarily deletionism when hyper-vigilance is need around here.
I'm having a hard time finding any independent references to the project. It is a very small community that is interested in this? Many mentions are due to developers past and present: JayFoxRox, Borgerson, espes... These are not independent.
I found this but it's not a review and rather bare.
I found a mention of XQEMU but again not a review and not dated?
I found this which intimates that the project is of longstanding (2014) but little else. Found other references to 2017, 2015, but what is the history, really? So-and-so rewrote such-and-such which derived from some-other which was rooted in QEMU via other steps. Sheesh!
A mention from 2015 is not complimentary.
A mention earlier this year is complimentary but not detailed enough.
Kerfluffle around Github repositories [5]. [6] and others.
Twitter shows rather low activity.
And just a warning, there's a number of bogus apparently boobytrapped links like [7]. Turn on NoScript and friends before looking at the interesting Javascript redirecting. Ick, they get around. Actually, best avoid entirely. Final 10+ links from google on one search were _all_ bad guys in action. But again, that's another reason to find all the best/valid/correct references and add to article.
Anyway, the goal here at Wikipedia is not just text, but verified text. There's entirely too much pressure from the unscrupulous to "put one over" on Wikipedia. You must differentiate this article from those kinds of articles. Shenme (talk) 19:00, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
Here's the situation: You don't know what you don't know. You don't know why this is notable, because you are ignorant of the subject material. So - why do you feel the need to delete the work of other people? How about a little good faith. I'm an expert in the field and I have a decade of positive, novel contributions to Wikipedia. I wrote a good article. I'm still working on it. Make positive contributions or leave it alone. I have no personal interest in promoting the project, which is free in the first place. I firmly believe that your type of attitude is the reason that Wikipedia is dying: people with domain expertise who make positive contributions are constantly bothered by non-contributing, policy-obsessed parasites. Miserlou (talk) 19:11, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
- Goodness! Did you read my comments above? Consider that it took me over a half hour, maybe 45 minutes, to put together a reflection on how difficult it will be to find corroborating references for the article. Are you making *any* differentiation between people here? Why would you attack someone who is trying to help you? Is that a involuntary trait for you? Shenme (talk) 05:31, 26 May 2019 (UTC)

Hello, Miserlou,
I'm sorry that you feel unheard and that your contributions are not valued. I think one solution is that you write articles in Draft space rather than adding the articles directly to Main space of the encyclopedia. Although drafts can be deleted they are usually only done so if egregious self-promotion or if the author isn't actively working to improve the article (six months after the last edit). I think the bar is higher for deletion in draftspace and this is a very comfortable space to work on an article over the time it takes to acquire reliable sources. Just a thought that might eliminate some anxiety and pressure. Liz Read! Talk! 03:03, 26 May 2019 (UTC)

Conflict of Interest Accusation
When was I previously dinged for having a COI? Do you actually read or research anything in any depth? And to just throw a serious accusation out there that someone has a COI. When my job specifically requires that I don't have a conflict of interest on these exact subjects. And I said exactly that in my last edit summary. Please show me when I was previously dinged for having a COI.
Here's something to think about. You say don't make negative edits if you aren't an expert on a topic. You have to cut granite to make a sculpture. It's equally important to not revert deletions when there is a clear explanation as to why the content was deleted. That page is garbage. It's essentially the creation of user David Gerard who has written books about crypto and has been quoted in major news publications. Everything he writes or says about crypto is radically negative. Hence, the massive anti-crypto bias polluting the Tether page. Go through the edit history. Look through the talk page. User after user makes the same sorts of edits trying to cut back on the clear bias in the article. On the talk page many users make comments about how biased the article is. That it doesn't meet Wikipedia's standards. That it's the worst article they've seen on Wikipedia. But there are a handful of dedicated page owners who use their fake wiki authority to keep the page in abominable condition.
You realize you're insisting on keeping a sentence that starts "Tether Limited and the Tether cryptocurrency are controversial because". Written in Wikipedia's voice. No attribution... Terrible. - DaxMoon (talk) 06:59, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
- Before you make accusations you should be sure there's a basis for your assertion. If the target of the accusation believes you to be in error or requests a clarification you should do so. If you were in error, it's only fair to admit as much. To show a modicum of accountability. To make an accusation, ignore requests for a clarification, and then lash out is the unconscious wail of a spineless coward. DaxMoon (talk) 08:43, 18 September 2021 (UTC)

Re: Grusch article title
Even the title is garbage, "UFO claims" don't go on Wikipedia
I think you’ll find a lot of support for this position. If you could come up in some good candidates for a title, you would probably be successful. Please start a discussion about a new title when you’ve got some potential candidates. Viriditas (talk) 21:49, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
- I wanted to leave you a note saying that I appreciate your comments on the Grusch talk page; I think you and jps are somewhat talking past each other, and he does have a tendency to be rude, so that isn't helping things. But I did want to say that I hope you stick around. Your comments are quite good. Viriditas (talk) 09:38, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- Oh, I almost forgot, I can somewhat explain the Reid and Bigelow thing if you want me to. Jps feels they are both biased, as you must have concluded by now, and have influenced the UFO to UAP designation, although I'm not certain that's the entire story. For the most part jps gets things correct, but he can be a bit too heavy handed and does not suffer fools gladly. While this can often work to his benefit, I think it is also a handicap, as it pushes people away who might otherwise agree with him. I think you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar, but frankly jps doesn't care, and that tends to hurt the discussion, IMO. Bigelow is convinced on the subject of ET visitation, but having listened to interviews with him, I'm not sure I really understand his position or motivation. I suppose he reminds me in some way of Elon Musk. In any case, I get the sense that jps wants to get rid of as much BS as he can and set the record straight, but sometimes that approach can appear like a wrecking ball or a bulldozer, when what is really needed is a gentle, careful, surgical approach. Viriditas (talk) 09:50, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- Haha, thanks for the reply. Yeah man, I don't know, it seems like this is a whole world of grifters and counter-grifters, both obsessives. I'm just some guy who stopped by because I wanted to figure out what this particular story is about. I think it's probably some internal control that spies use to filter out who's solid or not. Like if you tell somebody there's aliens in a hush-hush voice, and then they don't tell anybody, then you're probably solid to go do some assassinations or whatever shady business they do. If they run to the news, then you can't trust them, so kick them out and make them look crazy. Who knows. Miserlou (talk) 10:00, 15 June 2023 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to the
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;

- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the
