The 2024 Vermont gubernatorial election will be held on November 5, 2024, to elect the

elections to the United States Senate and elections to the United States House of Representatives and various state and local elections. Incumbent Republican governor Phil Scott is eligible to run for re-election to a fifth term, but has not yet announced whether he will do so. However, Scott has said that he expects to make a decision by "early spring".[1]

Being frequently ranked as the nation's most popular governor,[2][3][4] Scott has won reelection by continually increasing margins since taking office.

Along with New Hampshire, this race is one of two Republican-held governorships up for election in 2024 in a state carried by Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.

Primary elections will take place on August 13, 2024.[5]
