Filmography

Other than the last entry in Filmography, what do the first four have to do with Ruth Westheimer specifically? CarolH (talk) 16:26, 16 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Photo date

The date given for the photo in the sidebar is Ms. Westheimer's birth date. Does anyone know the correct date, and if so, can you fix it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:AB10:2AC0:91A6:457E:1550:4988 (talk) 23:57, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Additions to Ruth Westheimer page

In this Wikipedia article about Dr. Ruth Westheimer, I will be adding information to the sections entitled: early life, career. I would also like to add a section regarding Westheimer’s current-day career and activity. I will be sourcing all added information from Westheimer’s autobiography, “All in a Lifetime.” To the early life section, I will be adding information regarding Westheimer’s time living in an orphanage in Switzerland during the Holocaust, as well as the limited education she experienced while living there. I will also add more information about the letters Westheimer and her parents wrote back and forth to each other, before her parents were taken to the concentration camps. To the career section, I will be adding information regarding the actions taken by radio-channel officials to thwart Westheimer and the topics of discussion she wanted to include in her work. I would also like to add information to her listed books, such as when they were published, by who, and links to newspaper reviews (if applicable.)

Lastly, I would like to add a section regarding Westheimer’s current career. She recently released her 45th book, and was seen on the Ellen DeGeneres show Nov. 4. She is still very active, an element that isn’t as prevalent on the Wikipedia page. Altogether, I will be adding about 300-400 words, as well as a new section to the page. If anyone would like to comment on these changes, please let me know on this Talk Page or on my Talk Page.

Copy edit tag

The article's prose comes off as slightly off, almost as if the text imitates some kind of terse newsclip style. Those commas!

Another issue - I looked through the archive but could find no prior discussion on this: how strange two of her three marriages have essentially zero information?

All in all, this article gives me the impression it is essentially from Wikipedia's childhood era with little improvement since. (I do see recent edits, but none of them attempt to copy edit the article for better grammar, cohesion, or flow.
