Saw what you added to the project page. I'm editing articles and infoboxes when I see them to what you put there. Of course, I came across pages that have a link solely for 'Unanimous All-American', like Lawrence Taylor.

Thanks for the link, I'll try just about anything. Everything has been cleared (cookies, cache etc.) This response I have to edit, there's no reply button. Request move question

Hey Bagumba, I saw that you added a page to a move request. I wanted to add the rest of the drafts from the table in List of NFL drafts to the nomination (as well as the move discussion notices to the pages), but I'm not very well versed in move request discussions. Is this inappropriate or bad etiquette, or would I be okay to go ahead and do this? I think the discussion affects all of those articles, so it makes sense to add them, but I wanted to ask somebody before I went ahead with expanding the request from 10 articles to 96 (99 total NFL Draft articles, 67–69 are already lowercase though). @Hey man im josh: I think they were not included to avoid the busy work, as the nom makes it clear that the discussion is intended for all related NFL articles. Final point, per Wikipedia:Consensus:

Many of these discussions will involve polls of one sort or another; but as consensus is determined by the quality of arguments (not by a simple counted majority), polls should be regarded as structured discussions rather than voting.

Time to find sources

Regarding this comment: I'm kind of reluctant to quote my own words from the FAQ at this point in time, as a lot of conversations have occurred in the meantime, and I don't have a good sense on whether or not consensus has changed for some of it. In particular, I get the sense there's less patience now for allowing appropriate sources to be located. And the portion in parenthesis on figures from the past has never really been tested. Well, from what discussion has occurred after the changes, editors who still see value in sports-specific guidelines have been continuing to follow the predictor approach. But there is an increasing number of editors who would rather just rely on the general standards for having an article, without any specialization for sport topics. I'd forgotten you'd allowed ISO (disambiguation) to include a link to Glossary of basketball terms#I so I just tried another tack to include the specific usage I encountered and started to understand via Wiki. This time I simply added a cite to the abbreviated term in the glossary. I do think being able to read the usage in a specific context helps if one, as I, knows nothing of the terminology to start. I may have worded it wrong in the summary. I didn't mean (changing the link), I meant not linking the word 'All-'. I'm just adding the word All- before the link. I'm pretty sure we both have it going to that certain Pac-12 page.

I've done dozens of these. Like the NFL infobox shows .. I would change for example:

That's it. It still goes to the Bagumba page.

@Bringingthewood: Yes, same applies to Novitzky. For the NFLINFOBOX example, it should link to the more specific List of All-SEC football teams, piping "All-SEC" e.g. [[List of All-SEC football teams|All-SEC]]. Think of it as "what you see is what you get", from the reader's perspective. If I already knew what SEC was, I wouldn't waste time clicking on plain "SEC". Hello B ... it's the PITA again.

I like the few pages I saw that had the high school city and state removed when it's the same as their date of birth. Is there one of those MOS: deals that I can use when doing that? Asking because I know there's an editor that has a strong opinion on using the state abbreviation in parentheses. Honestly, I liked that one also.

For instance -- John: Born in Bronx, New York. High school: Bronx (Bronx, New York). I believe you, personally, would leave just the high school name. Great, I won't need to remove duplicate links etc. The other editor would have high school: Bronx (NY).

One thing I'll say now, whatever you choose to discuss about this matter, I'll probably leave his team alone, lol. Not asking to stir up the pot. It's for other players in general.

Yeah, NYC is a whole different animal. I'm living proof. Telling me to be bold is scary, but I went to his page already. The article is Bayside, nice and exact. But I made the infobox Queens, New York, U.S. I've seen the boroughs listed before, what the hell. I like using the borough name .. some think birth place NYC, NY covers Manhattan. It's New York, NY. (New York City is all five boroughs).

I had just wanted to ask you if you would reconsider closure on the Goodenough item at ITN, which I feel was premature. It was closed within 48 hours with what I can see as a 11-7 sentiment in favor (including three supports before there was clearly a blurb, but at least one of those suggests a clear sentiment in favor of posting). I think it would have been prudent to leave the discussion open for a little longer, as some blurbs have recently (namely those with less of a consensus against and work still continuing on the RD nom). I went to the Marvin Gaye page to link D.C. and LA only. I saw a warning in the Marvin Gaye edit section, I had an idea who it was but checked it out anyway. Neveselbert seems to take this to a new level. Are we really doing things correctly in the sports world? This isn't the the first overlink warning I've seen from this user. No, no ... hiding things are all well and good. It was just those comments for Marvin Gaye among dozens of others were for just the 'do not link'.. city etc. I don't see why we can't for NYC and L.A. like we do it for sports. I don't mean the state, just the city. I do know rhat editors type things for others in the box for reasons, if it makes sense. But I don't see overlink in this case. But this editor is all for it. Not disagreeing with the link or the interpretation. Just the way this editor is using it. Marvin Gaye has a naked-looking birth and death. I wanted to link just NYC and LA, not the state, like we both would have done here with the NBA and NFL. I saw his message next to the date's .. "Do not etc.... due to MOS:OVERLINK". I never saw this specified by any other editor here. I wasn't in the mood for an argument. But I wanted to be correct in my reply. To me an overlink would be city and state ... but not to touch either ... I'm not getting it. All I'm asking is if I link the cities, would he be correct in coming back at me? MOS:OL as it's currently written. If you think an exception is warranted, perhaps you'd need to provide a rationale to modify the MOS. If it was up to me, enough drive-by editors will link it for "consistency", so just avoid the churn. But this is crowdsourced and we operate on consensus. —Bagumba (talk

I do appreciate your input, years back on Answers.com I would always ask questions directed towards their CA's. I'm not in the mood to get blocked from another site due to me losing my temper. Marvin Gaye is a trivial thing, besides I see many pages who have no links for LA and NYC. I add the city and sometimes an editor thanks me and other times they remove them. So be it. I like the being bold deal and having the page look better. But when I saw a "DO NOT" there .. that gets to me. An editor better be very sure of what they have to say after typing that, lol. I think I'll leave it alone for now. That user did grab a football player a month ago, but I put it back, and also notified Yankees10 to keep a look out. (I mean what's right is right) :).
