Francisco Macías Nguema
Hello! Just to clarify: Assigning any kind of coherent ideology to Francisco Macías Nguema is, to put it mildly, problematic. He was 1) probably insane and 2) regularily changed his official stances. He called himself a "Hitlerian-Marxist" and claimed that Hiltler had intended to liberate Africa. To assume that he was fascist or even a Nazi, based on these extremely confused statements, cannot be made so easily (plus Nazism is a form of fascism, but not the same as fascism - if anything, based on the "Hitlerian" claim, he should be assigned to "African Nazis").
Regarding reliable sources: Some contemporary sources describe Macías as "fascist" in the assumption that he copied Franco's system, but newer (academic) works usually do not seem to construct this link. I found one journal article here which assigns the term "afro-fascism" to Macías government, though it is a literary study more concerned with the contemporary perceptions of the regime, not a political study explaining how exactly Macías was fascist. Based on this evidence, I do not think that listing Macías as a "fascist" is the correct choice. Applodion (talk) 10:55, 26 December 2022 (UTC)

Flaky sources on Tom Bombadil
Hi, you're quite right, we can't have fragmentary sources sitting about indefinitely concealed inside a Good Article (and probably not in any other kind either). By the same token, we can't have unchecked, semi-broken materials sitting about in plain sight in an article that has been formally reviewed. If anybody had had the actual text to hand, they'd have known the page they were looking at; so the uncomfortable truth about such materials is that somebody was probably casting about for something to use as a "ref", and they decided that the book probably covered the topic, and even if they didn't know the page it would probably "do" for the time being, and anyway they were going to get on with something more interesting, and ... hey presto, we have a flaky, semi
So, to cut the shaggy dog story short, I've cut the ref, and its associated claim. The article has good examples of adaptations of the character already, and doesn't need supplements which are improperly put together or checked. I do hope this is clear and seems reasonable to you as an approach: it is certainly in line with policy. I suppose I may as well confess that I brought the article through GA and omitted to delete the paragraph at the time as I should have done. I don't feel that I own the article (or any other), but I do want it to be "all shipshape and Bristol fashion", as people used to say. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 19:51, 24 March 2023 (UTC)

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at American civil religion. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Bettering the Wiki (talk) 21:45, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
- My edit was absolutely not uncontructive, the word "idolatrous" is literally used in the article to describe the phenomenon. It is an accurate term to describe the page. Please assume good faith. Di (they-them) (talk) 00:13, 17 March 2024 (UTC) Di (they-them) (talk) 00:13, 17 March 2024 (UTC)

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Northern pudu did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:

Peggy Contact Info
Hey,
I believe that the owner of Peggy the Dog runs the Instagam account dogpool. You may want to reach out to her about licensing an image of her. I have reached out to people for photos in the past and they have always been very nice and have offered an image.

Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the

All the animal actors thank you (woof, meow, grrrr, chirp). And by nominating it you set the navbox's betterment in motion (as well as with your good edits and additions). Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 03:28, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

Frank
i removed the image of Frank's agent/owner, because that would seemingly mean every actor would likewise have a picture of their agent/management team, which i didn't think would be correct.
the agent/owner has more content in the article than does Frank, the actual star
plus, i was surprised Frank wasn't in the image, instead there's an unknown unidentified other-species actor.

- You would support adding pictures of various talent agents to notable actors pages? Augmented Seventh (talk) 23:11, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- I didn't say that. I said that Frank's owner is relevant enough to include an image on Frank's page. I didn't say anything about any other actors. Di (they-them) (talk) 23:14, 5 April 2024 (UTC)

Please do not cast aspersions in edit summaries
In the Antarctic English article, you reverted me, see here while telling me not to edit war! I made one change. You are the one who is reverting.
Also, you said that the article has been assessed as B-quality by "several editors" other than yourself, the article creator. I see no evidence of that. I'm not going to argue over this, but I did leave a comment on the talk page. Who are these "several editors" and why aren't their assessments indicated on the talk page? You might want to address that. FeralOink (talk) 13:45, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
