Baka People (Cameroon and Gabon)
Hi Jami430! My name is Sessama7 and I am working on expanding the Baka article for a class project. Thank you for adding some information to the page. Do you have any suggestions for me? Also, do you mind letting me know if ever you decide to make changes to what I have added? I would love to know what I can do better as well as keep track of the changes on the article, given that I will be graded on it! Thank you again for your help!

Open education articles
I'm interested in working on one of the following articles:
- Open.Michigan
- Khan Academy
- Educational reform
- Higher education
- The Saylor Foundation
- Free culture movement
Jami430 (talk) 04:31, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
- Here's a tip... put the article names within double square brackets, like [[this]], so that they're links. So, the above comes out as;
- Open.Michigan
- Khan Academy
- Educational reform
- Higher education
- The Saylor Foundation
- Free culture movement

Wiki Loves Pride 2014
Hi Jami430. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Wikipedia, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Atlanta's Wikipedia:Meetup/Atlanta/Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. We are expanding the LGBT Atlanta, Georgia pages. This would be a tremendous help to Wikipedia and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Thanks for your consideration, and please let me know if you have any questions! --tdempsey (talk) 06:59, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
Ways to improve Naomi Anderson
Hi, I'm Kmccook. Jami430, thanks for creating Naomi Anderson!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Naomi Anderson appears to be an important contributor to equality. Please provide more information on her achievements and contribution.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on
]- @Kmccook: No problem at all—that's how Wikipedia is supposed to work. :) I will try to add some more info, but I'm happy to have a stub out there for now instead of no article at all. Jami430 (talk) 04:19, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
- Although now that I take a look, I'm not so sure the article has insufficient inline citations. Every line is cited back to its source. I definitely agree it will be nice to have more sources in the article, but I'm not sure the other tag is appropriate. Can you explain why you added that one? Thanks! Thanks so much for creating this category, Jami. Would you consider renaming it Prizes and Awards of the Association for Women in Mathematics? Then we can include pages for some of the other prizes as well as the awards that the AWM gives out. I would like to advertise this position on the AWM Facebook page. DYK for K.M. Graham
On 18 November 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article K.M. Graham, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Canadian abstract impressionist K.M. Graham began painting at the age of 50? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/K.M. Graham. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, K.M. Graham), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Invitation to participate in study
Hello,
I am E. Whittaker, an intern at Wikimedia with the Scoring Team to create a labeled dataset, and potentially a tool, to help editors deal with incivility when they encounter it on talk pages. A full write-up of the study can be found here: m:Research:Civil_Behavior_Interviews. We are currently recruiting editors to be interviewed about their experiences with incivility on talk pages. Would you be interested in being interviewed? I am contacting you because of your involvement in Wikipedia’s Women in Red project. The interviews should take ~1 hour, and will be conducted over BlueJeans (which does allow interviews to be recorded). If, so, please email me at [email protected] in order to schedule an interview.

Welcome to the 2019 WikiCup!
Hello and Happy New Year!
Welcome to the 2019 WikiCup, the competition begins today. If you have already joined, your submission page can be found here. If you have not yet signed up, you can add your name here and we will set up your submissions page. One important rule to remember is that only content on which you have completed significant work during 2019, and which you have nominated this year, is eligible for points in the competition, the judges will be checking! Any questions should be directed to one of the judges, or left on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup. Signups will close at the end of January, and the first round will end on 26 February; the 64 highest scorers at that time will make it to round 2. Good luck! The judges for the WikiCup are Sturmvogel 66 (talk · contribs · email), Godot13 (talk · contribs · email), Vanamonde93 (talk · contribs · email) and Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs · email). WikiCup 2019 March newsletter
And so ends the first round of the competition. Everyone with a positive score moves on to Round 2. With 56 contestants qualifying, each group in Round 2 contains seven contestants, with the two leaders from each group due to qualify for Round 3 as well as the top sixteen remaining contestants.
Our top scorers in Round 1 were:
- L293D, a WikiCup newcomer, led the field with ten good articles on submarines for a total of 357 points.
- Adam Cuerden, a WikiCup veteran, came next with 274 points, mostly from eight featured pictures, restorations of artwork.
- MPJ-DK, a wrestling enthusiast, was in third place with 263 points, garnered from a featured list, five good articles, two DYKs and four GARs.
- Usernameunique came next at 243, with a featured article and a good article, both on ancient helmets.
- Squeamish Ossifrage was in joint fifth place with 224 points, mostly garnered from bringing the 1937 Fox vault fire to featured article status.
- Ed! was also on 224, with an amazing number of good article reviews (56 actually).
These contestants, like all the others, now have to start scoring points again from scratch. Between them, contestants completed reviews on 143 good articles, one hundred more than the number of good articles they claimed for, thus making a substantial dent in the review backlog. Well done all!
Remember that any content promoted after the end of Round 1 but before the start of Round 2 can be claimed in Round 2. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on
If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send.
