Military service in infobox

I saw your question [1] but reverted because it's not a page to ask your own questions. You can for example do that at

Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions or Wikipedia:Help desk. Articles use different types of infoboxes and may not have a field for military service. Which article do you want to edit? PrimeHunter (talk) 21:47, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply
]

Hey PrimeHunter. Thank you to responding to my question. The article I want to edit is that of Rex Marshall. Mr. Yondris Ferguson (Leave a Comment) 16:52, 20 January 2015 (GMT)
Rex Marshall uses Template:Infobox person. That infobox doesn't have its own military parameters but it's possible to use Template:Infobox military person#Embedding. However, the article doesn't mention his military service and if he isn't known for it then it problably doesn't belong in the infobox. PrimeHunter (talk) 22:14, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Rowe Wallerstein is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rowe Wallerstein until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Euryalus (talk) 15:48, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I don't like these automatic templates so thought I'd leave a hand-written note as well. As a personal view, the article on Rowe Wallerstein is well written, interesting and no doubt entirely accurate. Please don't take this AfD nomination as in any way a reflection on either of these matters. The deletion nomination is simply because there are insufficient
reliable sources
to support a standalone article. As I said on the nomination page, Variety is reliable but too brief. The others aren't.
Hope that explains my thinking. And of course, if you have access to any specialist TV production publications or histories, or could point me in the direction of them, we might jointly or singly be able to find additional references to support the article. And if so I'll gladly withdraw the AfD. -- Euryalus (talk) 15:56, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Project News
By Lionelt

Last month's auspicious relaunch of our newsletter precipitated something of an uproar in the Wikipedia community. What started as a localized edit war over censorship spilled over onto the Administrator's Noticeboard finally ending up at Wikipedia's supreme judicial body ArbCom. Their ruling resulted in the admonishment of administrator Future Perfect at Sunrise for his involvement in the dispute. The story was reported by Wikipedia's venerable flagship newspaper The Signpost.

The question of whether to delete all portals--including the 27 Christianity-related portals--was put to the Wikipedia community. Approximately 400 editors have participated in the protracted discussion. Going by !votes, Oppose deletion has a distinct majority. The original Christianity Portal was created on November 5, 2005 by Brisvegas and the following year he successfully nominated the portal for Featured Portal. The Transhumanist has revived WikiProject Portals with hopes of revitalizing Wikipedia's system of 1,515 portals.

Eric and Leslie Ludy were 21 and 16 respectively when they first met, English professors suggest that older singles are unlikely to gather hope from their story.

When God Writes Your Love Story: The Ultimate Approach to Guy/Girl Relationships is a 1999 book by Eric and Leslie Ludy, an American married couple. After becoming a bestseller on the Christian book market, the book was republished in 2004 and then revised and expanded in 2009. It tells the story of the authors' first meeting, courtship, and marriage. The authors advise single people not to be physically or emotionally intimate with others, but to wait for the spouse that God has planned for them.

The book is divided into five sections and sixteen chapters. Each chapter is written from the perspective of one of the two authors; nine are by Eric, while Leslie wrote seven, as well as the introduction. The Ludys argue that one's love life should be both guided by and subordinate to one's relationship with God. Leslie writes that God offers new beginnings to formerly unchaste or sexually abused individuals. (more...)

2019 US Banknote Contest

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions

"Faith lived in the incognito is one which is located outside the criticism coming from society, from politics, from history, for the very reason that it has itself the vocation to be a source of criticism.
