I do have the article on my watchlist and don't check it when I've seen you are editing it. A lot of the issues were introduced by a now-banned editor (I'm sure you remember). It appears that it's time to start a discussion on the article talk page about this, don't you think? I'm not entirely sure what specific points are at issue, but I note from one of the posts above that some of this is based on primary sources, which is an issue per
WP:PRIMARY
. The last revision he/she made seemed to be picayune changes - shoemaker vs. cobbler (aren't they the same thing?), punctuation after the refs, the contemporary names of regions, and odd sentences:
"In Baltimore, the couple had five more children, including Abraham, and he would eventually be called Albert." vs. "In Baltimore, the couple had five more children, including Abraham (later known as Albert) and Sam Warner."
"Aside from Hirsch, a son Schmuel was also with them, later known as Sam."
I'll keep an eye on the progress. I'm not sure why some of this is being made an issue anyway? Wildhartlivie (talk) 05:22, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mcavanaugh.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
Go to

}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 06:22, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

British Army during World War I has suggested the article needs a copy edit. I have seen you making some quality changes in the prose. Would you be able to give the article a formal copy edit ? this article know that it will be appearing as the main page featured article on March 23, 2011. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/March 23, 2011. If you think it is necessary to change the main date, you can request it with the featured article director, Raul654 (talk·contribs). If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions of the suggested formatting. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :D Thanks! Cleveland Blues, St. Louis Browns, and Washington Senators. Shortly before his retirement, he became a major shareholder in the Boston Red Sox. His career ended abruptly. During his brief tenure as co-owner of the Red Sox, McAleer quarreled with longtime friend and colleague Ban Johnson, president of the American League. McAleer's rift with Johnson, along with his sudden retirement, damaged his professional reputation, and he received little recognition for his contributions to baseball. Today, he is most often remembered for initiating the customary request that the President of the United States throw out the first ball of the season. (more...

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. A training ground for several players and officials who later established careers in Major League Baseball, the team proved a formidable regional competitor and also won the 1906 league championship. During its brief span of activity, the Ohio Works team faced challenges that reflected common difficulties within the Ohio-Pennsylvania League, including weak financial support for teams. Following a dispute over funding, the team's owners sold the club to outside investors, just a few months before the opening of the 1907 season. The club's strong record and regional visibility spurred the growth of amateur and minor league baseball in the Youngstown area, and the community's minor league teams produced notable players throughout the first half of the 20th century. section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing
.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
