- Thank you for your reply. I agree about everything you wrote about Al-Qaeda, but not with what you wrote about JNA because I was not talking about JNA only. I put CITATION NEEDED after VJ which means Vojska Jugoslavije, or Army of Yugoslavia. This army was born after collapse of Socialistic Yugoslavia in May 1992. and never had a single soldier in Bosnia since it was Army of federal state of Serbia and Montenegro. Stating that VJ commited war crimes against civilians and putting one debate, two university press releases and one health brochure as source for VJ commiting war crimes against civilians can be at least considered as nonreliable source, if not as insult of common mind. If someone that have less experiance did it I would assume that it was mistake. But it was done by very experianced wikipedian who knows history well. That means that quoting university press releases as source for very serious accusations against army of another state is not only against policy of wikipedia but also deliberate lie that KansasBear [1] is trying to place trough this article. It is wikipedias loss if such people are allowed to delete well argumented statements and place unreliable sources for such serious matters. I want to believe that we are all here to write verifyable articles, not deliberately unreliable sources. --Antidiskriminator (talk) 10:17, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Skanderbeg revert
Hi there and welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you will enjoy your time here. I would like to explain further my revert: First in lede we enter only info that has been substantially expanded in the body of the article. Second, other languages are important if there are relevant primary sources in those languages: because as far as secondary sources are related, every one may have an interest in Skanderbeg: a book on him may exist in Iceland, that's not a reason to enter the name in Islandic language. Please feel free to bring primary Serbian sources, i.e. from 16th to 18th century and we may update the article. The name is in Albanian and Latin for now, because those are the primary sources we have. Thanks again! --Sulmues (talk) 15:47, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- The Albanian name is there because he was an Albanian. The Turkish sources do exist although I don't know Turkish, but someone will bring them sooner or later. Btw, at that time Turkish was written in Arabic, so what we currently have in the lede is not Turkish in Arabic script, which is what it should be. Listen, we are trying to write a good article, I don't understand how come as a new user you are here worrying about Albania all the time. Don't you have any other topics to write about? --Sulmues (talk) 17:54, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Skanderbeg. Such edits are disruptive and appear to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Sulmues (talk) 21:32, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- I am giving you this warning because transporting my words from one page to another is disruptive. If I don't feel like writing on the talk page of Skanderbeg, you can't be the one transposing my words from your talkpage there. Thanks for your understanding. --Sulmues (talk) 21:33, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- Albanian alphabet is incomplete, but gives a flair. The first written sentence retrieved in Albanian is considered the Formula e pagëzimit in Latin script (in 1462). The first complete book in Albanian retrieved is the Meshari of Gjon Buzuku (1555 and in Latin script again). --Sulmues (talk) 14:44, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
League of Lezhe
I would like to thank you for your edits in the League of Lezhe. I understand your concerns and believe me, I hope the article was better referenced. In general those concerns come when the article has a B status. Since much of the writings in wikipedia preceding 2007 is original research or copypasting/translating from high school books, it is difficult to discern the good apples from the bad ones. Once that an article has a B status, then it's ready for a GA application (we have only 10K GA articles out of 3.4M - 1/34). It's at that point that I would have the concerns that you have. For now, all we have to do, is to increase the referencing, otherwise, changes that we make, will never be long lived to help promote an article to higher statuses, where it reaches higher levels of protection. --Sulmues (talk) 15:02, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
October 2010
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add defamatory content, as you did at Talk:Albanian National Awakening, you may be blocked from editing. Sulmues (talk) 15:16, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
- I'll try to AGF you and sorry if this warning created more confusion then anything else. In general I see a measured approach that you have, but that edit above is not called for. Everyone here, well, most of us, are trying to bring the best sources so that our countries are fairly represented. That's why there is no need to make edits such as the above. Again sorry if I created confusion. --Sulmues (talk) 20:52, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
It seems that certain editors found the 13 October 2010 a lucky day for warning others for imminent blocking. I received a similar threat.--Euzen (talk) 13:38, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Altered speedy deletion rationale: User:Antidiskriminator/Professionalization and institutionalization of history
Hello Antidiskriminator. I am just letting you know that I deleted User:Antidiskriminator/Professionalization and institutionalization of history, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. GedUK 10:09, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Oh, hello to you!
Hi, there, mate! ... Sorry for my non-perfect English... by the way, I had studied German, and that's why I don't know to speak or write English better than this... What's a matter, why they blocked you on Wikipedia in Serbian language? Have you any plan in your mind?--Nvlado (talk) 16:41, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter. We'll learn that English perfectly if we write in it continuously. I want to write a few articles about important people from Subotica and its area. If you interested, you would be pretty helpful.--Nvlado (talk) 19:43, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
- I asked you because it shouldn't be too easy to write articles about this people, not because I am not very good in English, but because some people would trying to vandalizing our contributions. Those guys are extra-nationalists and home-traitors, and they doesn't have anything to do in they miserable lives except to interfere us in our work. Tomorrow I'll check in library of Matica srpska what they have about one young lady from Subotica. It should be something, I'm sure. Also, I have a nice picture about her. I can send it to you if you want to take a look at it.--Nvlado (talk) 17:35, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

The Arbitration Committee has permitted administrators to impose, at their own discretion, sanctions on any editor working on pages broadly related to the Balkans if the editor repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions including blocks, a revert limitation or an article ban. No copyvio problems there
Well, no problem, it's still in the history of the draft, because you didn't delete the page (only an admin can do that): you just blanked the page. That page is in your user space, not in main space, so there is no harm done for copy violations. --Sulmuesi (talk) 21:43, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

- I'll check Frasheri if he mentions that document: I think he does, but there are so many pages for his early life that I have a headache as soon as I read the book, and the documents when he is a statesman, both direct (written to him or by him), and indirect (documents about him) are way more numerous. The whole work of Frasheri is something like 600 very dense pages. In general the early life should be improved in the article, because the main biographers give non-according version on a couple of things, such as his timing of presence in Albania, or to be fighting for the Turks. The best way to tackle that is through notes and enter there each scholar. The best way you could help is to buy a Serbian biographer, if there is any. Petkovich seems to be the most serious: it would be nice to add something prior to achieving GA status. I am also working on a couple of Italian and Turkish sources so that we have the full picture, and then we're going to be very close to a FA status, where I think we'll be ready for in 2011. For that though, I forecast, we'll need around 200 references and we're at 125 now. Thanks again! --Sulmuesi (talk) 19:30, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
- I read the document of February 25 1420. The names of Gjon Kastrioti's sons are not mentioned. He stipulates the contract under himself and sons, without specifying their names. According to Frasheri (p.83) most of the historians agree that this type of document doesn't give any info on whether the sons of Gjon were with him or not (and this position is mainly based because they are not specified by name). --Sulmuesi (talk) 03:17, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

DYK nomination of Assembly of Vlorë
While I do not edit in the area covered by the above board, I am aware that there has been at times controversy in articles that are, and they they have been bogged down by outside issues. The initiative to create a forum to sort through those issues which have an affect on those articles seems like a good idea, so that they can be expanded and improved. Having read the mission statement and suggested guidelines I find that the main objective is diluted in the text : to create a nuetral and unbiased articles that are divorced from a particular POV that offer a fair representation of the various interpretations of the facts. While there are more postive aspects of Albanian-Serbian relations, I'm not sure that promotion of those aspects should be a goal, but certainly should be included to give a broader understanding of those relations. To that end I would have project page state its goals more clearly within the context of encyclopedia building which would be improved by better diplomatic relations between those editors working in the area. I would suggest that making the mission statement of the board clearer Djflem (talk) 10:01, 2 February 2011 (UTC) Skanderbeg's Italian expeditionHi there and thank you for your review on Skanderbeg! For a less confusing wikipedia. Gëzuar/Живели (Cheers, in Albanian and Serbian, I hope!) Yazan (talk) 19:44, 22 February 2011 (UTC) has asked you to join him for a nice cup of tea and sit down.
Hey Anti. I have done a copyedit on your article in preparation for reviewing it for DYK. There were some sentences I reworked that you should look over to make sure I haven't changed the meaning. Also, the last sentence in the First Balkan War is confusing: "Ismail Qemali realized that the fate of Albania will be decided in Vienna." Mr. Qemali has not been mentioned in the article, and readers probably won't know who he is (sorry if he's well-known in the Balkans, but his name is not familiar to me). That sentence should be expanded to explain who he is. Otherwise, good improvement in your writing, though still some grammar issues to improve on. Cheers, The Interior (Talk) 00:17, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks to your articles, I am now a bit better-versed in Balkan history. Was Qemali a member of the Black Society for Salvation? Or was it too secret to know. The Interior (Talk) 09:26, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

WikiCup 2011 February newsletter
So begins round two of the WikiCup! We now have eight pools, each with eight random contestants. This round will continue until the end of April, when the top two of each pool, as well as the next 16 highest scorers of those remaining, will make it to round three. Congratulations to The Bushranger (submissions) (first, with 487 points) and Hurricanehink (submissions) (second, with 459), who stormed the first round. Casliber (submissions) finished third with 223. Twelve others finished with over 100 points- well done to all of you! The final standings in round one can be seen here. A mere 8 points were required to reach round two; competition will no doubt be much more fierce this round, so be ready for a challenge! A special thanks goes, again, to Jarry1250 (submissions) for dealing with all bot work. This year's bot, as well as running smoothly, is doing some very helpful things that last year's did not. Also, thanks to Stone (submissions) for some helpful behind-the-scenes updating and number crunching.
Some news for those who are interested- March will see
Just a reminder of the rules; if you have done significant work on content this year and it is promoted in this round, you may claim for it. Also, anything that was promoted after the end of round one but before the beginning of round two may be claimed for in round two. Details of the rules can be found on
