One of them is clearly notable, but I'm having trouble pinning down her dates.[1],[2],[3],[4]. Her husband owned a furniture business in Miami[5] and she was very involved with the National Council of Jewish Women. Just trying to figure out when she was born and if she is dead. I thought there might be Jewish archives that would be helpful since she was on the national board. I cannot find anything in FamilySearch at all that would help clarify who she was initially, i.e. what is her maiden name? Hi Yoninah, I was wondering what to do about my DYK nomination Template:Did you know nominations/Subtle is the Lord. I was going to take a break from Wiki for a while and decided to withdraw my nominations in order to avoid wasting anyone's time. I wanted to resubmit this after improving to GA status so that, hopefully, there would be something more catchy to say about it. But now I am not sure if I can create a second nomination, even though it really doesn't say it's against the rules anywhere, it also doesn't give the option. @Footlessmouse: Frankly, I don't understand what you're doing. You have a long and well-referenced article here. If you don't like the hook angle, ask on the template for other suggestions. As long as a template hasn't been closed, you can continue the nomination. After it's closed, and the article moves to GA status, you would renominate it under a similar name, like Template:Did you know nominations/Subtle is the Lord 2. Saw the COI tag you posted on Ruth Williams. What should I do to help resolve the issue? I have references for all the sources. I have asked for help from the WikiProject_Guild_of_Copy_Editors to review the article. Happy to have someone else review the whole article and make any changes they think are warranted. Hello User:Yoninah, you've removed the date of birth of Barbara L. Kelly, an article I have started, because you think that every unsourced information must be deleted. While I understand this approach in principle, it is highly exaggerated to do it here. First of all, I explained in the discussion about the relevant DYK nomination that I received the birth-date from the subject of the article directly. I did not invent it. Secondly, take an arbitrary look around Wikipedia biographies, and you will notice that a very large number, if not the majority, have unsourced dates of birth. If the (bad) overall quality of an article suggests that the information provided should be doubted, then I would understand your action. In this case, you can just trust an experienced WP editor and not be overly critical when there is absolutely no reason. Give it a try and don't be unnecessarily critical. Please.

Further, I took the liberty of looking at a few articles YOU created, and immediately came across a number of articles with unsourced dates of birth. I only mention selectively Nathan Adadi, Ben Zion Abba Shaul, Chaim Yehuda Leib Auerbach, Nota Schiller, Eliezer Berland, ... It seems like you are expecting standards from others that you don't apply to yourself. Your comment on DYK is in the middle of one by Gatoclass, - I can't reply there until fixed. Not sure I understand the question. I expect a Google Doodle (they had one for "only" 145 years, the 17th), so I expect people to be aware. Of course each hook I write will mention Beethoven, - my question was if more than one hook per editor might be allowed on such a special occasion. It seems no question anymore, with two sets. @Gerda Arendt: My question is, if Gustav Classens is the conductor of the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, and the hook is based on that fact, well and good. But if the hook just says that Classens directed some work with staging by so-and-so, the connection with Beethoven will be unclear. If you were nominating a whole group of articles specifically about Beethoven symphonies and Beethoven festivals, it would make a much stronger case for a full set than just a bunch of articles about loosely-connected people. Gerda, it's okay if you nominate 3 articles in a special set; we do that all the time for sports days where we have one or two editors who are churning out the articles. I was just continuing the line of questioning as to why we need to devote a whole set to Beethoven on December 17. Other editors were pointing out that this should have been discussed months earlier so perhaps other editors would also contribute articles. You don't have to apologize for anything, but you should be aware that your focus is very narrow on the music articles themselves and not on the larger picture of how DYK works. So we now have a week with the new 400 / hour threshold, and I'm thinking that 500 / hour would have been better. You supported the 500 / hour limit and I think the consensus was there to change to either 400 or 500. At the 400 / hour level, a hook can qualify with only 4,800 views (lower than the old system) when a queue runs for 12 hours. Do you think it would be ok for me to just go ahead and change to 500? Hi Yoninah, regarding your note about Template:Did you know nominations/A Little Lower Than the Angels (novel), one of the aims of the BYU accounts seems to have been to have BYU, its staff and alumni—including living people and their work—featured on the main page via DYK, which amounts to paid advocacy. (Having said that, personally I have no objection to the way the article about that novel is written.)

I've been looking at this issue for the last couple of weeks and have wondered why you promoted so many of their articles. I see now that you believed it was just regular WiR work, and in fairness to the BYU accounts, perhaps they thought the same. Please see the COIN discussion for more information. SarahSV: yes, I did not see it as a problem because the articles were well-written and sourced, and I was promoting a lot of "topic" articles on Mormonism rather than write-ups of the BYU staff and alumni. Not knowing anything about the WiR program, I thought they just had better access to the BYU library to write these articles, so I wasn't aware there was a problem. Hi Valereee, not sure what you mean by the reviewers. It was the BYU editor who first created the article who called it "impartial". It strikes me a strange choice of word for a negative account; impartial implies balance. I'm not criticizing the body of the article, by the way, only the lead. SlimVirgin, the source that sentence is cited to does talk about the presentation of Mormonism and polygamy in the book, very briefly. It doesn't use the word impartial, but it talks about "the frustration of polygamy" and about Sorensen writing about the main character accepting her husband's religion because she loves him and reflecting on the smugness of believers who aren't tolerant to other ways of thinking. The whole piece is basically about the fact that Sorensen in her fiction wasn't a typical Mormon writer, how she was criticized by other Mormons for presenting "unlovely" things, that she considered herself a defender of the faith and that as part of defending the faith she had to represent it faithfully, the bad along with the good. We are plagued with anonymous well-wishers who are eager to steal people's copyrighted photographs ... for a good cause, of course, but all too often the photographers don't appreciate the benefits thereof. Now, there have been lots of interviews with AIG, you could email them and ask if they would release better images under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/. Yoninah died February 6, 2021

I cannot share the source here, because it mentions her RL identity. However, I emailed the link and info to a member of Wikimedia oversight before posting here. The source that announced her death is dated February 7, 2021. It says she became ill on February 3, and died on the February 6 Jewish sabbath of Shabbos. No other details were given.
