      • Is the Associated Press okay with Wikipedia using their photo on the Main Page ? It says "© AP" on the lower left corner of the photo. -- 199.71.174.100 30 June 2005 01:23 (UTC)
        • Huh, so it does. Whoops. Sorry. --Golbez June 30, 2005 06:31 (UTC)
        • No, and this is very embarrassing that we used the photo. Will remove right away and list on Images for deletion. - Ta bu shi da yu 30 June 2005 02:17 (UTC)

  • The 10bn-euro nuclear fusion reactor ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) will be built near Cadarache in southern France. (...) project participants said in a joint declaration after their meeting here (at the Moscow conference) Tuesday. [1] - background: [2]. This agreement seems quite significant to me, both on the scientific and international fronts. --Edcolins June 28, 2005 09:46 (UTC)
    • May I offer an alternative arrangement:

        • The image is not {{Mprotected}}. BTW, the copyright status of the image is unknown. Should it be on the Main Page ? And, please add a full stop. Thanks. -- 28 June 2005 13:49 (UTC)

That one's pushing it. ;) Then again, we had all those World Cup and US Open ones... --Golbez 18:46, Jun 24, 2005 (UTC)
C'mon ... Is there a basketball league in the world with a higher profile and an international following than the NBA ? The NBA Finals were definitely in the headlines in many newspapers around the world. -- 64.229.224.205 12:34, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
The Detroit Pistons winning the NBA Finals was posted on ITN last year, why not this year ? -- 199.71.174.100 17:45, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Which news story should I remove to fit this one? Is this more important than any of those? This link is Broken 17:52, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Please displace the oldest one. Thanks. -- 199.71.174.100 18:21, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I concur. There is so much room on the right side on the Front Page, perhaps we don't need to remove anything. -- 64.229.207.200 23:32, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

The blank space on the right side of the Front Page disappeared yesterday because the Featured Article was very short. The blank space is now back. -- 64.229.225.42 28 June 2005 03:37 (UTC)
The blank space has disappeared once again, this time due to a very, very long DYK. ...sigh... -- 64.229.221.245 28 June 2005 12:21 (UTC)

It's a bit long and should probably link to the article on the case

I'd love to put it up, but you know we'd get complaints about ITN being US-centric. We already have Killen on there, I'm surprised they didn't raise holy hell about that one. --Golbez 06:38, Jun 24, 2005 (UTC)
To avoid such complaints I removed killin when adding this one. This link is Broken 11:30, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Natalie Glebova, representing Canada, won the 2005 Miss Universe Pageant in Bangkok about a day before the Spelling Bee was held.
    • Right. Very important news... I'd rather see Miss Universe up there on ITN. This at least has international relevance... And she is prettier. :-) -- 64.229.5.138 14:06, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
    • Did I miss something? Is it April Fools Day again?
      • Please remove this one quickly. Shouldn't be there at first place. No international relevance. --Edcolins 19:39, Jun 3, 2005 (UTC)
        • International relevance is required? Ideally, but we sometimes have major stories not of international relevance; for example, I first heard about Jim McGreevy's resignation on ITN. Edcolins, would you rather have some football score over news like that, just because the two teams were from different sides of an imaginary line? --Golbez 20:23, Jun 3, 2005 (UTC)
