Hi Moscowconnection, I am writing to you about the changes to the name "Team Kenkyūsei" that you have made. I believe that it should still retain the name as they are officially known to most people. In fact, pages like

  • Search here, in the top left search box ("Search for: Artist Name" (アーティスト名が)).
    Example:
If you search for the name Momoko Tsugunaga (嗣永桃子, with or without a space), you'll find this profile. The top 3 figures are the top ranks of her singles, albums and DVDs. She doesn't have neither solo singles nor solo albums that ranked, but she had a DVD at number 9. The 2 figures below are "TV appearances: 60" and "Commercials: --". Btw, the latter doesn't seem right cause her Japanese Wikipedia page lists a commercial for Pizza-La.
How to find the DVD and many articles mentioning her:
    The folders below are:

    4. Works (作品)
    5. Rankings (ランキング)
      1. Singles (シングル)
      2. Albums (アルバム)
      3. DVDs
What's interesting is that the DVD which reached number 9 was a 2010 concert by Berryz Kobo, the band she's in. Momoko also has solo DVDs. They are in the list. There are 3 solo DVDs that ranked 20, 32, and 58.
    6. Schedule (スケジュール): Schedule of her appearances

DOY Pages

Just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for trimming some of the births you put into the Days of the year pages yesterday. I or someone else would have eventually trimmed them to fit the page format. Just to let you know while I'm here, I undid 3 of your edits yesterday, 1 for being in the wrong date page (I only remember it was placed in August instead of April, date number was correct though, possibly 16), and 2 for having conflicting birth dates within the articles with no citations. I did trim 1 or 2 as I was flying to keep up with you :) Ken Tholke (talk) 13:25, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

AKB48 related edits

Hi Moscowconnection, thanks for helping to improve Japan-related culture. You are right to say that I am not really a big fan of AKB48, since I haven't even attended one of their regular concerts in my country. Furthermore, I am a newbie to this group, so I have made many errors in my edits regarding them. On that note, thanks for pointing out these mistakes.

However, I would like to point out that articles have been ruined because fans of that particular topic spammed the article with too much fan-related information. I want to keep AKB48 articles free of this type of occurrence.

Lastly, I need some help to find more references. As you might have noticed, I have been adding {{citation needed}} tags to sections that lacks them. I am trying my best to avoid these tags, but I really do not know where to find more references. Can you help in this task? In addition, please try your best to include references for any new information that you may add. Cheers!--Lionratz (talk) 08:59, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

C-ute

There are too many sentences explaining how the hell the name is supposed to be written or read. There is nothing inherently wrong about the way I included the katakana because I have not done so in a way that is implying that it is written in Japanese by the katakana. I ahve included it as part of the pronunciation. Do we really need two sentences explaining "C-ute" is pronounced as the English word "Cute"? And why should Japanese text be omitted when you already have the Hepburn romanization on the page. This is getting out of "I disagree with the current formatting" and more "Stay away from my pages" with your reverts. This is particularly telling because you're the one who made that excessive exposition in the first place.—Ryulong (竜龙) 23:20, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cute (Japanese band)

Hi Moscowconnection,

I've had a gander over at the article - looking impressive now. However, I thought I should point out on the infobox (right-hand side of article), where it says Website should really have the band's official website page, and not the URL of their YouTube channel. This could do with being fixed, to keep in accordance with

for infobox parameters. BOT's are prone to do random checks and may end up removing that link if it doesn't recognise it as the official page.

Also, it may be worth taking a break from the article too. The page history only shows you as being the single-editor on the article, which to the community can be seen as someone taking

Importance scale at Talk:Natalie (website)

Moscowconnection,

Not sure if you know or not, but from what I gather the importance scales are suppose to be set at "low" and then it is up to the project to change them accordingly. A bot will notify the projects that this article has been added, and that they need to review the importance scale.

Mouse 19:32, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply

Alternatively, you could add {{DEFAULTSORT:Natalie (website}} and a bot will work out the scales for the project.

Mouse 19:35, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply

If the importance is left unassessed, then the article will be listed as unassessed. Otherwise, no one from a project will simply come to assess it. For this particular article, it will be most probably set to Low for any non-Japanese projects, but still it doesn't seem right to decide fot them. As I understand it, at least. {{DEFAULTSORT}} is explained here:

AKB48

Thanks for your clarification! Oh, how else do you think we should improve the article from here on? I know that a lot of content is missing, but exactly what to include is still undefined. It really does not help that no other Japanese idol groups have articles that are ranked GA or above. Do you that that we should refer to K-pop groups that have released singles in Japan, just to use them as models, of course. And I am really sorry if I have added untrue or inaccurate information to the article. Happy editing.--Lionratz (talk) 12:47, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nogizaka46 controversy included in AKB48 article

Hi, I mentioned this on the AKB48 article's talk page the other day, but I thought I'd ask again here. What reason is there to include the information about Nogizaka46's choreography controversy on the article for AKB48? As far as I can see, it has no place there. It should be included on Nogizaka46's article, and possibly even Akimoto Yasushi's article, but it has no connection to AKB48. The controversy did not include the AKB48 group in any way, or include any AKB48 members. Could you clarify why you wish to include this information? Kaixa913 (talk) 07:35, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted to leave the part because it makes the article better. It's recent, interesting, entertaining. We need to give people something to read, something to return to Wikipedia for. Also, it ends the otherwise dull "Controversies" section on a happier note. I know we will have to remove the info sooner or later. But hopefully I will expand and rewrite the section by then. If you think it's simply unacceptable having the info there, remove it from the article yourself.

Disambiguation link notification for August 25

Hi. When you recently edited Berryz Kobo discography, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page EP (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Redirects

Please read

WP:REDIRECT#NOTBROKEN
.

I notice that the majority of your recent contributions you explain solely as "Avoiding redirect". Please be aware that doing so is not only unnecessary, but undesirable and detrimental, for reasons as explained in the relevant guideline. I appreciate your general enthusiasm but I for one would rather you didn't continue putting it into that particular "fix". If you still feel that avoiding redirects is a desirable thing, how about you say why here and we can discuss whether one of us may have failed to consider something? Hi MC. Regarding your edit summary: You can't remove everything like this. It doesn't look like you researched the subject., please see

WP:V. In short, the burden is on the editor who adds the info to source it carefully, not on me. I hope this helps. Anyway, good work on adding more references to the article. Keep it up! Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 22:48, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply

About edit summaries

I just saw this. Please avoid edit summaries like: It's sourced. (You've just added an official source yourself, the birth days and months are there. How can you add a source without looking at it?, because it is a way to attack the other editor without giving them the chance to defend themselves. How can I reply to this accusation? By another lengthy edit summary? That is simply not sustainable. So please stop this practice. If you have any questions, the proper thing to do is open a discussion at the talkpage of the article concerned where I can have the chance to properly address your accusations. Thank you. I left the same message at Drmies's talkpage

Hi MC. I saw your discussion with Drmies and left a comment there. I repeat it here for convenience:

  • I have created a new section at Wikiproject Korea: K-pop articles coordination. It could serve as an initial coordination place for K-pop articles and as a central reference point where the problems they face as a group of articles could be centrally addressed. It could also be expanded into a different subpage, something like a K-pop working group. You are, of course, welcome to create any such new subpage if you think it is necessary. This subsection is just a proposed starting place. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 17:52, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cuteness

Hey, M. About the pictures at Cuteness, from where I stand the discussion is pretty much concluded. Nevertheless, to avoid the appearance of rushing things along, I'd wait a couple more days (or make that a full week) before instating an edit request, unless you or someone else beats me to it.

Maybe you saw my last comment there. Imho, the Knut image doesn't add anything of true value to the article either, regardless of its acceptable sourcing. So, although the primary issue was the OR of the other images, maybe the best threshold would be to just not use any "pics of cute things"? Not hellbent either way, so I'd like to hear your take. --87.79.132.152 (talk) 21:14, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Gangnam Style

I just want to begin by saying that I could've been more specific with my edit on the "Gangnam Style" page. But I don't get why a bunch of users think that I'm trying to start conflicts. I have ADHD (and possibly a little OCD) which may be why I like things done a certain way. It just seems weird to me putting a Latin Songs chart on a Korean song. Anyway, I'm sorry about my edit. If you have any other concerns, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks! Easy4me (talk) 16:03, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your Russian is good, by the way. The only mistakes are "вьетнамской поп" (you can choose of "вьетнамского попа" (поп m), "вьетнамской попсы" (informal попса f), or "вьетнамской поп-музыки" (поп-музыка f), the latter is the best option) and "поддерживать запрос" (accusative case). :) --

AKB48 and apparent
ownership

It seems you have a hard time accepting anyone else edits on anything that has to do with AKB48. While I tried to

ownership over the articles and it is not really helping the article(s) improve nor is it inviting other to feel welcomed to edit those articles. I hope we get along and try to improve the project rather than disagree over every single edit. しれない Shirenaitalk 21:47, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply

It's not true. I don't own the article and I actually think it's really bad and there's nothing much to defend. I reverted one edit of yours, then I added what I think was an improvement, and then you reverted my addition and I didn't object. I'm sorry if you don't feel welcomed. Maybe I should have just let your edit stay because the matter wasn't important. AKB48-related articles need more editors. Surely, you are free to improve them. --

I removed your response from my page because I would like to keep the conversation in one place. In responding to you I want to point out you reverted all the edits I made 1 and 2, not just the one. So, of course I would feel as if you believe you own the articles and would feel unwelcome. しれない Shirenaitalk 16:30, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
1. That's okay, I understand. But I commented on your page, and the comment should stay there. 2. Now I see that we've met on another page before. I think you should not have insisted on your corrections. After all, the pages existed in some state before you came, and it was up to you to prove that your edits were improvements. 3. I can see that you added valuable information to Wikipedia, you are welcomed. AKB48 needs more editors. --

Explain to me how they weren't an improvement? I reduced the number of red links, removed the linking of the same artist and article twice -which in a short article such as
MOS:JAPAN. The article looked a little less cluttered that way but you didn't see that only reverted. Also in response to this edit according the MOS for Japan it was correct to switch it to Atsuko Maeda. しれない Shirenaitalk 18:59, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply

I removed the red links afterwards. Your abbreviations didn't look good to me. "Ma.", "Mi.", etc. I think the nihongo templates are useful. (By the way, could you point me to where the rules say to remove them. Cause I heard about it but didn't see it myself.) "Atsuko Maeda Solo Ver." seems to be a part of the title. --
talk) 19:20, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply

It says it in the first paragraph of that link (Generally, Japanese script for a word can be added to the text the first time it is introduced, provided that the word is not linked to another article on the English Wikipedia.) While it is apart of the title it is the order of the name is what I'm referring to. According to MOS:JAPAN the title should be "Sakura no Hanabira (Atsuko Maeda Solo Ver.)" and not "Sakura no Hanabira (Maeda Atsuko Solo Ver.)". しれない Shirenaitalk 21:42, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I see. Please don't insist. Cause it makes the article better. And they are not in the article text even. I understand that you are talking about the order of the name, but I'm saying that I consider it part of the song's title. (Now I'm not sure, though.) Like, if there were an English-language song titled "Maeda Atsuko", it wouldn't be right to say that its title was "Atsuko Maeda". Anyway, let's not argue. You can rename it to "Atsuko Maeda Solo Ver.", but it doesn't seem right to me. But please delete Sakiko Matsui from the list of soloists, she really looks out of place there. --
