Geographic range

Amphisbaenids occur in South America, some Caribbean islands, Europe, and sub-Saharan Africa.

Description

Members of the family Amphisbaenidae are limbless,

Chrysochloridae, in which the malleus in the middle ear is greatly enlarged.[3][4]
