Welcome—request protection of a page, file, or template here. | ||
---|---|---|
Before requesting, read the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection and pending changes are usually used to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. Extended confirmed protection is used where semi-protection has proved insufficient (see the rough guide to extended confirmed protection) After a page has been protected, it is listed in the page history and logs with a short rationale, and the article is listed on Special:Protectedpages. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins should not revert to specific versions of the page, except to get rid of obvious vandalism.

Semi-protection: Persistent Vandalism.Within a week,2400:AC40:700:B127:9A7:D3B1:83A1:9322 (talk) , History of the Burmese (talk) and Pechora-2m russia (talk) have repeatedly changed the weapon numbers in the List of equipment of the Myanmar Army article without adding any sources or evidence.They didn't removed the existing links(sources) but the weapon numbers that they changed is very different with the provided references.Even though I'm reverting all the edits they made, they are still editing that way.2400:AC40:700:B127:9A7:D3B1:83A1:9322 (talk) is the worst.He made more than 12 edits which deals with Vandalism.Even though I warned him several times,he didn't care and still doing that way.Also some of the pages which deals with Myanmar are also facing that problem due to the current political problems.Therefore please semi-protect this page for a year.Thar thar lay(military observer) (talk) 10:27, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

Current requests for reduction in protection level
Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin at their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
- To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
- Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
- Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
- If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected please use the section below.
Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.

Talk:Donald Trump
Reason: Should not have been protected, was not getting vandalized on a regular basis.2600:100C:B04A:3DB7:7D43:6C94:E4C6:BDBB (talk) 22:05, 11 June 2024 (UTC)

- Those who can, make logical arguments and present evidence like I did on that page. Those who can't, flail about with sealioning and ad hominem attacks like these. 66.69.214.204 (talk) 02:03, 12 June 2024 (UTC)

2024 Nuseirat rescue operation
Reason: This was a massacre, not a rescue operation. The IDF killed more than 274 innocent civilians according to Aljazeera (https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/6/11/nuseirat-anatomy-of-israels-massacre-in-gaza) and the IDF managed to kill 3 of their hostages in this operation. Therefore, to reduce misinformation, this article needs to be edited to the facts collected by numerous news agencies. The new title should be "2024 Nuseirat Massacre". - The protecting admin is no longer an admin. I would argue for dropping protection entirely (not converting to PC). There is no protection applied to any of the other Lakers season articles that I can see, not even the current one. — The Earwig (talk) 00:24, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

Change from template editor to extended confirmed: Can someone lower the protection level so that extended confirmed users can edit it as well? I think the current level of protection is a little bit exaggerated. —hueman1 (talk • contributions) 01:30, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

Current requests for edits to a protected page
Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.
- Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among
{{
to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed.Edit protected}},}}{{Edit template-protected}}
,{{Edit extended-protected}}
, or{{Edit semi-protected
- Where requests are made due to the editor having a conflict of interest (COI; see Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance), the
{{Edit COI}}
template should be used. - Requests to move move-protected pages should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves, not here.
- If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
- This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.

{{rfc|Should the sentence "He is the first and only President to have been impeached twice and to be convicted of a felony." be added after the first sentence?}} 66.69.214.204 (talk) 02:55, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
- Declined This is a noticeboard for simple edits and corrections, not yet another venue to demand that a new RfC be opened minutes after the last one was closed with no consensus after thousands of bytes were spent, still less for attempts at bludgeoning discussions by proxy Acroterion (talk) 03:06, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
Israel–Hamas war
At present we have "On 24 May, the International Court of Justice ruled that Israel must immediately halt its Rafah offensive.[1]"
I suggest changing it to include a longer, semantically-complete, quotation, to read: "On 24 May, the International Court of Justice ruled that Israel must immediately halt its military offensive, and any other action in the Rafah governorate, which may inflict on the Palestinian group in Gaza conditions of life that could bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.[2]"
As the Guardian article points out, and reports judges as arguing, the last comma is critical to the meaning of the ruling. Hunc (talk) 10:49, 12 June 2024 (UTC) Create a level 3 header with a link to the article in question, then a {{pagelinks}} template and then the reason.
