The untitled Nova series is an upcoming American television miniseries created by Sabir Pirzada for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics character Richard Rider / Nova. It is intended to be one of the television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. Pirzada serves as head writer.

A series based on Nova was revealed to be in development in March 2022, with Pirzada attached, although development slowed down by February 2023 and reentered early development by a year later.

The series will be released on Disney+.

Production

Development

In March 2022,

Brad Winderbaum, the head of streaming, television, and animation at Marvel Studios, confirmed in March 2024 that a Nova project was in early development and said he was aiming to develop it as a series.[9] Kevin Feige and Pirzada will produce the series.[1][7]

Release

The series will be released on Disney+.[7]
