Greetings
Hi Roshan: Nice work on Cannizzaro reaction! I hope that you contributing your knowledge to Wikipedia. You can see that I removed the mechanistic drawing for the diolate. My experience tells me that your first drawing is sufficient, and too much artwork would probably detract from the readability of this article. Best wishes, --Smokefoot (talk) 19:27, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Structures
Hi, Sorry to be a pain, could we please ask if you would upload any new structures to commons - it's taken well over 6 months to almost clear out thousands of structures on en-wiki - see Category talk:Unclassified Chemical Structures - we are standing at 63 orphan files (structures not in use tend to be deleted - there is no way to search for them, so users tend to make new ones as required, because it takes so little time to generate a new one) and 48 in-use files (but are mainly poor jpg/gif - so are not being moved to commons until someone draws a new svg version).
Once you login to commons (you should be able to with current username and password - meta:Help:Unified_login), then I would suggest copy the link on my home page there (commons:User:Ronhjones) - it gives you the basic upload page with most of the fields filled in ready - just needs the name of the file to upload and the description title. License for structures are always {{PD-chem}}. You may also like to have a read of Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Chemistry/Structure drawing - it explains ways of generating the preferred svg format files. Thanks for your attention. You're doing a fantastic job!
Roshan, thank you so much from me and the MoodBar research team for your work on clearing the Feedback Dashboard backlog! You and the other responders have doubled the number of responses to feedback in the past few days. I wanted to let you know that in 4 more days, the MoodBar will be temporarily disabled, so you won't see any new feedback coming in for a little while. This is just to get a sample of users to compare to the ones who could give feedback and get responses from you – it'll be back soon. So get all of your responding in now, because you might have to go through a bit of Feedback Dashboard withdrawal next week :) Thanks again, and keep up the great work! Original Art Workshop
Hi Roshan - thanks for the message. I've left a reply on the Graphics Lab talk page. In coming to your talk page, I've see some general interests of you in dealing with chemistry-related illustrations. It might work well for both of our motivations to work on an (involved) original illustration each month, and perhaps to show-case it in a blog or some such. I don't think I can commit to much more than that, given the variety of projects I've neglected.
On a related note, one of the projects that is finally coming to fruition is a method of generating vector illustrations from 3D models. I'm planning to take some weekly time to model an object and blitz different views and angle of it - that would probably come in handy for assembling various pictures. If there's anything that you'd particularly need, give me a shout and I'll make that higher on the weekly list!
Take care, and thanks for all the great work you've been doing in the Illustration workshop. Jon C (talk) 15:53, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for showing interest Jon. Appreciate it.
- And btw, I do have interest in learning about 3d software like blender to create nice illustrations(actually motivated by the example image created using blender in the graphics lab page). Will definitely let you know when I find time for that. Roshan220195 (talk) 16:50, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
- Cool as it might be, that illustration just scratch the surface of what Blender can do nowadays - it's one of the fastest moving software. If you're interested in illustrations, once you've gotten a handle in Blender basics, check out the Freestyle experimental builds on GraphicAll - in conjunction with playing with shaders, you can get a variety of very interesting NPR effects. Jon C (talk) 16:43, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

SHE graphs
Hey there. Many thanks for your attention at the Graphic Lab Illustration workshop. A bad thing is, logging in individually gives nothing. My uni isn't listed in the lost. And where does a student get extra 20 pounds from? Just... Not that I'm lazy, I'm not eligible to. If I could do the vector work, I'd do it myself (will learn sometime, but not now). Can you do the work for me, please, hope I don't ask of too much? It'd be very helpful and good.--
]- Hey there. Much as I would like to contribute to the graphics lab, I am now in college without a personal computer(read Inkscape) so I can't do pretty much anything. What I actually did was to google the title of the paper and click the first link to appear. A link in this page provided a PDF without any account or something(I was actually surprised at this). N imagine my surprise when it asked me for an account when I clicked the link in the graphics lab today. However, the PDF can still be viewed without an account by going via google or by removing the text after ".pdf" in the address bar(something like %7blah blah blah). Try this. Will make a note of this in the lab too. Hope this works.. Roshan (talk) 10:43, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
- You must be pretty lucky or something. It still don't work for me! I tried what you said plus Google Translate (works sometimes for poorly-coded protection). I wonder if you've got opportunities to download the PDF and send it to me via email. See no other way outta this. Would be very thankful if you did it for me. Really dunno what else to try.--]
- Yeah no probs... Mail me your Id n I'll mail the PDF to you(possible via wikipedia mail??). And btw, since I am accessing the file from ma college, it is possible that the college has access to these things as a result of which I am able to see it. But I do have a local copy on my phone which I can mail to you. Roshan (talk) 19:25, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
- Just emailed you a mailbox you can mail directly (avoid Wikimail).
- If only! I've done a check.--]
- Really sorry man, but I'm not able to send mail from my phone. Gmail works fine, but apple mail doesn't which is what I need to send the PDF from iBooks. Will do it when I get to a computer. :) Roshan (talk) 20:02, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
- OK. No problems, I'll wait. Thanks in advance!--]

Sorry for reply delays. I'm outta the city again. Images are fine to be with no title. Don't really think they need some, they'll get good captions instead. Or I'll ask someone else for it if ever figure out they are needed. About license, I don't know. I suspect that the one used here is the needed one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:DecayChain_Ununseptium.svg --
]- Me again. Thanks for doing the image for me! I just got a small point of... I need another image from there. As states described on the Graphic Lab page. I can't be asking of you that much. Please send me the pdf, and I'll manage to find someone. I would to get the pdf anyway. I feel I may find other uses for it in the future.
- Again, many thanks for the image! On the way of finding good uses for it (feel like may need more changes in it, originally decided not to put all of them in alltogether...could be too hard to perform at once)--]

Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions
We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:
- Views/Day
- Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
- Quality
- Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.
The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:
- Content
- Is more content needed?
- Headings
- Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
- Images
- Is the number of illustrative images about right?
- Links
- Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
- Sources
- For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?

Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:
- Content
- Is more content needed?
- Headings
- Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
- Images
- Is the number of illustrative images about right?
- Links
- Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
- Sources
- For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?

Notification of automated file description generation
Your upload of File:British admirals promotion path 2.svg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.
This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hello! There is currently a
]New deal for page patrollers
Hi Roshan220195,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!
This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:
- Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
- Editor-focused central editing dashboard
- "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
- Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
- Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list
Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)
Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.
Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.
Best regards,
