.The Benary reaction is an
α,β-unsaturated ketones, α,β-unsaturated aldehydes and α,β-unsaturated esters as well as poly-unsaturated ketones and aldehydes[3] after hydrolysis of the reaction intermediate
and elimination of a dialkylated amine.
