Depends if there is enough information and reliable sources. If little beyond a setlist and dates can be listed then perhaps an article called Leona Lewis concert tours should be made, where a summary of The Labyrinth and Glassheart Tour can be listed as well as the information from Art on Ice? I've noticed this user keeps insisting that "Michael" was a studio album even though consensus determined that it was a compilation album. I could be wrong, but it seems like the user is trying to WP:OWN articles or perhaps WP:WIN. Do you have any comments? The user also said "We could have a consensus that the moon landing was fake but that doesn't mean it's right. Michael is a studio album of new music." Can you help explain how new music ≠ studio album on the Talk page for Xscape and or on the user's talk page?

This is copied from an very old comment on talk page. "A song is a piece of music that anybody can sing. A single is a format which nobody can sing! The two are not interchangeable. Song by date and single by date are two different concepts. The song by year relates to the date first published, made available, so song by year will only appear once, whereas a song can be issued as a single many times. Originally one was a sub-cat other the other which is patently absurd. Why should a song be omitted from the song by year category because it was also released as a single?" Adabow: artists are signed to one label and then affiliated labels release the song elsewhere. Capitol and polydor recurds have nothing do with each other or with artists signed to Island Records. Considering neither capitol nor polydor are mentioned in the inboxes I removed the categories. For example Mariah Carey is signed to Island Records in the US, in the UK Mercury releases her stuff. You deleted the Mexican edition tracking. Enrique sells the most in Mexico it's like the biggest market for him. The Mexican track-listing is a special one and with a DVD included. But you can still see it as a indiscriminate list. ==

Do you see the Certifications session of Sex and Love? Besides, South America is another big market and lately its track-list reveals and it's the same as the Mexico one, both physical and digital. So technically based on the Certifications session, Mexico and South America is the largest selling market for Enrique, especially for Sex And Love. The track-list for Mexico and South America is the same with 21 tracks, but difference is Mexico has a bonus DVD, which you just simply deleted as you thought it for and single minor market without investigation.

I disagree based on the facts above. Its not a case of me deleting the Mexican edition of the album because of it being a single market. United States, Japan, UK and Germany are the four biggest music markets by sales revenue. The certificates given in for Sex and Love are based on shipments and are therefore insignificant. Shipments are the number of copies that a label has physically produced and sent to retailers in that particular region. As a compromise, if you insist on adding the information, the first 11 songs on the album are the same as the US track listing. applies here. It just reinforces the need to move away from direct sources like labels and artists because theyre a massive contradiction. These songs are always classified as singles even if they're not included on the new album. Rumours have it that the album is called My Heart or The Inner Voice. I dont think its gonna reach 100k first week tbh.

Dance-pop is the correct genre. The sources say "a dance song with influences of hip-hop". Well dance music is not actually a genre, its a subset of genres encompassing everything from dance-pop to house music and electronica. Dance-pop is the closest relation. Hey, just wondering if you could clear something up for me. The OCC lists the new releases of the week, but the BBC Radio 1 playlist is often cited for radio impact dates in the UK. These two lists are very different (with the OCC lagging behind BBCR1). Which one do we go by? In my opinion it seems silly to take one station playing a song as a radio impact, but I might be missing something...

Hello, as far as I'm aware - the OCC's list comes from the labels. They inform the OCC of the impact date forpa single - the date at which the song is promoted to as its date to impact charts. The promotion and impact date can include the digital download which often comes after the radio impact date. The thing with the BBC is when they update the playlist, they choose to add songs from a long list. Not all songs released that week would be playlisted by the BBC - though capital FM (another national broadcaster) offered another alternative playlist. The occ's list of release dates is a combination of digital downloads, radio add dates and impact dates. (talk page stalker). I have nothing to add regarding digital release, but I can recap from way back in the pre-digital age. Record Labels would often send "promo, not for resale" copies to radio stations to get radio plays before the actual release. The reason for this was to build up market response so the record charted in the week of release, thereby going further up the charts and getting more radio plays and therefore more sales. A pure marketing ploy and no relation to issue date. Although it was not unknown for record companies to send to store too late when all the radio plays are forgotten. The UK works differently from the US because there is no Official Airplay chart. Therefore airplay NEVER counts towards chart positions. Radio airtime for songs is 100% dependent on whether a radio station chooses to play list the song. Its highly unlikely that the song would get played unless any station playlists the song. Now I'm going to throw a curve ball into the discussion ... "Take Care" by Drake & Rihanna was playlisted by BBC Radio 1 upon release of Drake's album. The station was playing the song for 3 weeks solid, pushing the album track download on iTunes and turning it into a UK top-ten hit. The label did not officially send the single out for airplay. This is a common thing in the UK that often the label gives permission for a handful of songs to be played and radio stations ultimately end up influencing what becomes a single. Back to the Lordes situation.... being serviced to radio or playlisted in the UK does NOT make a song a single in this market UNLESS there is confirmation from a reliable source that the song is being promoted as a single. Therefore I would always go with the digital download date as the official single release date. As for its actual release, its June 7 according to the EP listing on iTunes here so I would roll with that. The May 12 listing is the single track download, which is listed on Amazon.co.uk (though I cannot prove this as the page does not explicitly state this but that was my observation). See an article such as Forever and a Day (Kelly Rowland song) as a good example of how to handle radio releases for the UK. i would add that in no circumstances should being added to any UK radio station ever be considered "releasing a song as a single" unless it is accompanied by some kind of confirmation from the label, artist or critics review. If in doubt, a good website to use is something like Digital Spy - for example in its review for "I Will Never Let You Down" it explicitly says in the subtitle "Released May 11, 2014", as seen here → Lil-℧niquԐ 1 - { Talk } - 16:07, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for this clarification; I figured that one of my recent edits instigated this conversation; I had added dates to release history sections of some song articles, but wasn't quite sure how to handle it myself and ended up filling in the "Format" fields with a replacement "n/a" template (with the exception of "End of Time", which I had forgotten to go back to). From what I've pieced together the OCC list is, as previously mentioned, indeed a combination of airplay, digital and physical single release dates (I've seen some of the Red Hot Chili Peppers' vinyl-only singles included in the list, for example). Generally if I can find no evidence of a physical or digital release having occurred on the date listed by the OCC I conclude that it's a radio impact date (some UK promotional CD singles have labels at the back which mention impact dates, and—though this may border on original research—from the few examples I've gathered they're generally consistent with OCC release dates), though I've currently been refraining from adding that to articles (just want to get some clarification beforehand). If we were to use the OCC lists as sources for impact dates, what would we add as format? Unlike the US, I don't believe the UK has specific radio formats (CHR, urban, rhythmic, etc.). Thanks! best example of this I can find is Lovebird (song), where the whole impact day thing is extremely visible. In the UK there's not really different radio format. The stations have rock programmes, dance programmes etc as opposed to separate radio formats. I tried implementing the MOS policy above to Artpop, however, it was reverted because there was nothing at the MOS "stating we can't mention how something has been stylized, actually there's a line saying 'then the article title may follow the artist's choice'." Hi I was reading what you had concluded as grounds for deletion. But I did find a few links that show that billboard sort of used this as Billboard Japan before they added that chart. In the 90s the Tokio hot 100 was added to their magazine weekly. While it is difficult to find citations and even notability as of late. You are claiming "Cry About It Later" is a single etc. Can you send a source confirming it being a single. Otherwise don't say it is. Thank you! Smile is a visual album, every track got a music video. Are they all singles?-No. Remix however doesn't make it a single. It got a cover and lyric video which but no radio promotion. Technically Rolling Stone called it a single, but since both The Music Network and TopHit are unreliable sources to back-up the radio release, I'm not sure if we can still call this song a single. WP:ALBUM that each case, where ambiguous should be discussed on its own merits. The fact that an independent source (RS) called it a single, and it got a music video for me is good enough. Music video release isn't necessarily a single release on its own, however it does count towards chart listings so in a way it is a form of release. I'm trying to maintain some sense of consistency across the project. Cry About It Later and Not the End of the World both received a lot more coverage than Resilient.
