It was further disclosed that the emergency Arab League summit, which was originally planned to take place in
Sharm El-Sheikh, has been delayed with no rescheduled date confirmed.[2]
Background
In June 1982, King Fahd ascended to the throne following the passing of his half-brother,
regency by Crown Prince Abdullah..[3] He was admitted to the hospital on 27 May due to pneumonia and a high fever.[4]
